WARNING: this book is filled with *but not limited to*: horrible plot, grammar/spelling mistakes, bad writing, and much more.
BIG NEWS!!!: the rewritten SLH is up on my account!! Of course, if you're interested in my super super old writing (from my teenage years), this story will still be on here. But the rewritten SLH will be newer and re-edited! I would so appreciate it if you went and checked it out <3
Chapter 5 :)
~~~~~~~~~
I walk down from my front porch steps to see Will, looking quite perfect like yesterday, in my driveway. He is wearing a plain white t-shirt with jeans. It's kind of like the "I tried, but didn't want to look like I tried" look. But nevertheless, he did look nice.
He smiles as I make my way to him. "Right on time," he says to me.
I give him a meek smile in return and roll my eyes. He opens the passenger door and I get in. After walking around the car, he slides into the driver's seat. He turns on the engine and starts driving to school.
We don't talk for the first half of the time. Every so often, he would turn and look at me, and I would just stare out the window.
When we get to a red light, he stops and sighs.
"You're giving me the silent treatment."
I shake my head.
"Then why aren't you talking to me?"
I shrug my shoulders.
"Are you mad at me?"
No duh. I stay silent, staring out the window, until he grabs my arm, where I finally tear my eyes away from the window and glare at him. "What?" I ask exasperated.
"Why are you mad at me?" he asks.
"Why don't you figure it out yourself?" I retort. I grit my teeth, hoping this conversation will end.
"If this...from what I said yesterday?"
No duh Sherlock.
I try moving my arm but his grasp is still tight, so I decide to just turn around and face the window again.
"Green light," I say, glancing up. He relunctantly lets go, sighs, and then resumes driving to school.
When we get to school, he parks the car and before he can say or do anything I take my backpack and walk out. I start making my way to my locker but before I can even walk through the doors, Will is already next to me.
"What do you want?" I stop in my tracks and face him. He needs to learn what space is.
He runs his hand over his hair and stands there.
"I don't know where English is, and Principle Sutton said that you're like my buddy for the next few months, so you're kind of stuck with me."
I groan. "Fine."
He then grins and then we start making our way to my locker.
We are still 20 minutes early to school and that's the time when people usually catch up on homework/studies or socialize with other people. I hate socializing due to my scarce amount of friends, so I usually go to the library in the morning and just do whatever homework I can finish in 20 minutes. After I close my locker door, I walk to Will's locker, where he is still shoving books in his locker.
"Hey, I'm going to go to the library. The English classroom is down the hall to the right," I say to him, pointing in that direction. He then nods and I start walking away to the library, and surprisingly, he doesn't follow me this time. I don't know whether I am sad that I'm not getting the attention from him anymore, or whether I am happy he won't be messing with me again.
