Chapter 25
It's been a week since I've been home. I've started to go back to school, but I don't carpool with Will anymore. Instead, my parents drive me. Even though I see him in every class, there's still no memory of him that I can recall.
Sometimes during class when I'm zoning out, I'll look around the room and when my eyes land on him, he would already be staring at me with his bright blue eyes. I, as usual, will quickly avert my gaze, pondering whether or not I'm hurting him for all that I've caused.
He doesn't make any attempts to talk to me or spark up a conversation with me, and I usually don't mind, because there isn't much to talk about. At least I don't think there is.

As the bell rings and people start rushing to their next class, I fumble with my crutches, slowly taking my time because I have an excuse for being tardy. When the hallway is quieter and almost empty, I slowly make my way down the hall. As I'm about to turn right on a corner, I hear Anthony's voice.
Normally, I would continue walking, but then I hear him say my name in a conversation, so I quickly stop movement and lean against the wall with complete silence, trying to figure out who he's talking to and why he's talking about me. I'm such a nosey person.
"Why aren't you talking to her?" I hear him say faintly. I slowly peek past the wall to see who he's talking to.
Once I get a glimpse, I shoot back to where I was at earlier, against the wall, but this time, my heart feeling a bit heavy and guilty.
"She doesn't remember me, and she doesn't make any move to talk to me," Will replies to him.
I breathe slowly and heavily. I hear Anthony sigh, "Well then make her remember you."
"Why are you even talking to me? You don't even like me. We fought over her."
My eyes widen. Two guys liked me? I keep as silent as possible as I hear Anthony talk.
"Because-whenever she talked to me, you would always pop up into our conversation. And when your name comes up, I get this vibe from her that she really likes you and that she wants to be with you. I even told her once that I know she likes you, and she didn't even tell me I'm wrong. And she should be happy, I don't know."
I bite my bottom lip. I don't really care about going to class anymore. I'm probably going to just go to the nurse and tell her I'm feeling bad. As I'm about to leave, I hear Will speak up.
"Well if she really liked me that much, then why did she forget me?"
"I don't know," Anthony replies after a long silence, "But figure out a way to make her remember. There's a chance for people to gain their memory back."
I put my weight back onto my crutches and I slowly make my way to the nurse's office.
Because I can't bear to see Will's face in our next class.

"How was school today?" my dad asks as he drives into our garage. After going to the nurse's room, I decided to just call home and act like I'm sick. My parents didn't really care since I'm injured.
