I lay on my cot that night, looking at the ceiling. What could Nathaniel want with me? I'm just a servant, for Nyx's sake! I mean, he knew I was a cyborg, and although we are smart, we tend to be a little... Emotionless. At least, most of us. I, for some reason, have a very sensitive board. I experience everything like a normal human, but have the intelligence and cunningness of a cyborg. It's odd. As for Nathaniel, where would he be taking me? To the man in black?

I sigh and roll over in my bed. Incoherent thoughts ran through my head. I covered my head with my pillow and eventually faded into a horrid sleep.

You were back in the dark cell. The man in black stared at you from the other side of the cell. There was something... Red... Dangling in his darkness-cloaked hand. He threw it towards your trapped body. It was your mom's decapitated head.

I was startled awake, partly from the dream, but mostly from the hand covering my mouth. My eyes went wide and I started thrashing.

"Kala, it is I, Nathaniel. Calm down." said a voice.

Recognition flooded my eyes and I calmed down. Nathaniel removed his hand from my mouth once he was sure I was calm.

"It's time. Gather your bags, we depart the castle in ten minutes." He stepped out of the room with lightning speed, shutting the door silently behind him.

I grabbed my leather backpack from my closet and stuffed all of my outifts except for my work clothes into the bag. I glanced around and took several drawings of my mom and my aunt down and folded them into my bag. I tossed my art journal and a few pencils in, along with my journal. Then I removed the copy of the Hobbit from the bookshelf and gently placed in between the folded clothes.

I glanced at the bed and quickly flipped the blankets off the mattress to reveal where part of the mattress was cut out to hide a small package. The package contained a beautiful jeweled dagger. I had stolen it from a bag during a ball once. I hid the dagger in my boot and tucked my pants over it.

I looked at my room, sad about departing from what had become my home. Outside of this room was hell, but this room...

A single tear dripped off my face as I examined it for the final time, the sound of the closing door a hollow, somewhat dooming sound as the lock clicked into place.

Nathaniel cleared his throat. I jumped and guiltily wiped the tears from my face.

"I am so sorry, Servant Kala. I would never force you from what has become your home, but this is of the utmost importance." He whispered in the silent corridor, a hint of genuine pity in his voice.

I cleared my throat. "It's good. Yeah, uh. Let's head out."

Nathaniel nodded. "Down to the stables. We will be taling the two fastest computer modified horses on our journey."

You scoffed. "Cyborgs. It isn't a dirty word, Nathaniel. It won't offend me."

He shifted on his feet. "Let's depart, Miss Kala."

The change of being called 'Servant Kala' to 'Miss Kala' was pleasant.

The duo walked down the hall to begin their blood-soaked prophecy.
