Nathaniel and I walked out of the Servant's area and to the front doors at a brisk pace. Once we reached the doors, we were stopped by a guard.

"Prince Zalad, may I ask where you going? And why you have a servant cyborg with you?" Asked the guard.

"Servant Kala and I have important business to attend to. Her being a cyborg has no relivance to this conversation. Now accuse me, Guard Zak." Nathaniel spoke all this gracefully and calmly.

Once Guard Zak moved, Nathaniel gripped my right arm and drug me along with him at a fast pace.

*time skip*

When we reached the stables, Nathaniel let my arm go and quickly spun me around. "Listen to me Kala. This trip will be dangerous for both of us, but even more for you." He whispered.

"Wait. Why is it so dangerous for me? You are the Prince, Nathaniel!" I whisper back.

"I can't release that information at this time. Just know, that we can not trust anyone we meet along this journey. No one. Do you understand?" He said, tension set in his brow.

I gulped. "Uh yeah, I-I understand."

He nodded then walked me over to a stall labled Nightpain. Inside was a giant, black cyborg horse.

"Hi there." I whispered to the horse. Nightpain sensed that I was a cyborg, so we mindlinked.

(All cyborgs, no matter what type or species can mindlink)

Hello. I am Nightpain. Since you are a cyborg, I pledge my life to helping you in the quest. Thinks Nightpain.

" Thank you." I say aloud.

Nathaniel turns to me. "Are you talking to the horse?" He asks.

I blush, my cheeks turning slightly copper. "Yeah. Cyborgs can do that." I mumble.

"Intriguing." He whispers. He quickly ties my bag onto the cyborg horse and grabs me.

"What are you doing? Put me down!" I yell, kicking slightly.

Nathaniel replies speedily. "I'm putting you on the horse, genius."

Odd humans. I will never fully understand these people. Nightpain thinks.

I know, but we have to bear with him. I send back, slightly smiling. I hook my bag to the saddle on the horse and wait for Nathaniel to be ready on his horse. His is a copper-toned cyborg a few shades darker than me.

Slash. Nightpain says to me.

I nod. Thanks.

Anytime, Kala. And before you ask, I know you from the other maids. They talk about you a lot.
He replies.

Great.

Sorry it's so short!
