Krestena's Second Year: Book 2

Grounded?

Krestena's POV

"Hey Uncle Moony, guess what? I'm not dead or hurt" I tell him smiling innocently.

"Don't give me that look, you are in big trouble young lady" he tells me sternly.

"Trouble? What's she done?" Great Grandpa Phineas asks.

"Got stunned and taken into the chamber of secrets grandfather. But I destroyed the thing responsible for all the terrible things happening here. Dumbledore also gave me an award for special services to the school and two hundred points for Gryffindor" I explain.

"That doesn't change that you could have gotten killed again" Uncle Remus states.

"I have to agree with the half breed on this one my dear granddaughter" Phineas adds.

"Does it have to be all summer?" I ask with puppy dog eyes.

"Yes and your puppy dog eyes won't work this time" Uncle Remus states. But I see him trying to hide a smile. "Now tell us what has happened this year" he demands and Phineas nods his head in agreement.

"It all started with a diary Ginny got at the beginning of the year with her second hand school books. She's been writing in it all year and it possessed her. The original owner of the diary was Tom Riddle who you know as Voldemort Uncle" I start explaining. "Harry, Hermione, Ron and I have been investigating all year trying to find out what the creature was and where the chamber was. I also found out Ginny was being possessed by the diary and told no one. She tried to get rid of it in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom, but Harry found it.

The diary showed Tom catching Hagrid and getting him expelled fifty years ago. But Ginny had seen Harry with the diary and stole it back while we went to quidditch practice. I told her we'd get rid of it after the quidditch game against Hufflepuff. But the match was canceled because Hermione and the Ravenclaw prefect got petrified.

I still went to the bathroom though where I had agreed to meet Ginny to destroy the diary. I was looking out the window when she entered and she stunned me from behind. Meanwhile Harry and Ron had figured out who was killed fifty years ago & where they thought the entrance to the chamber of secrets was. They came to rescue Ginny and I. Harry rescued both of us from the basilisk and I destroyed the diary that had possessed Ginny" I finish.

"That's quite an adventure my dear" great grandpa told me smiling gently.

"Have you been to the hospital wing yet?" Uncle Remus asks. I shake my head saying how Dumbledore sent me here. "You will go there immediately and I'll collect you from the station when school ends. But you are grounded as soon as we get home. No sending letters to anyone, no leaving the house alone, no sleepovers with friends and no muggle tv" he tells me.

"But how am I suppose to reply to my friends letters?" I ask pouting.

"You'll just have to go without for the summer. Now I'm sure you want to see Hermione" he says changing the subject. He pulls me into a hug saying "I love you Stormy as my own daughter, I thought I'd lost you. Go enjoy your time with your friends and I'll see you at the station" he finishes kissing my forehead. I said goodbye to my uncle and great grandpa before leaving the office.

I went down to the great hall instead of the hospital wing, I was starving. I'll go see Madame Pomfrey after eating. "You solved it!" I heard Hermione shout and saw her hugging Harry.

"Where's my hug?" I call pouting and she turns to me. She runs over and gives me a tight hug. "Glad to have you back Hermione" I tell her as we pull away. We sit down beside Harry and Ron as Dumbledore stands to address the students. Who were all in their pj's apart from me, Harry, Ron, Hermione and everyone who'd been petrified. Dumbledore announced how Lockhart won't be returning next year and I cheered happily with the male students. Also that DADA classes were cancelled along with the examine.

The rest of the school year went by smoothly. Ginny was back to her happy cheery self with a few more friends. Hagrid returned from Azkaban prison. I told my friends how I was grounded and wouldn't be writing this summer. They thought it was a little harsh, but I assured them I'd be fine. Lucius Malfoy got sacked as a school governor and Draco no longer strutted around the school as if he owned it.

Now we are all on the train ride home with Fred George and Ginny sitting with me & the other three. "Ginny what did you see Percy doing? That he didn't want you to tell anyone?" Harry asks. Drawing my attention from my conversation with Fred and George as we all looked at Ginny.

"Oh that, Percy's got himself a girlfriend" Ginny states giggling.

"What?" Fred, George and I ask/demand.

"It's that Ravenclaw prefect Penelope Clearwater" she explains. "That's who was writing to all last summer" she tells her brothers. "They've been meeting all over the school in secret and I walked in on them as they were kissing in an empty classroom. He was so upset when she was - you know - attacked, you won't tease him right?" she asks the twins and I.

"Wouldn't dream of it" Fred assures her, but looks like his birthday arrived early.

"Certainly not" George adds sniggering.

"Of course not, who do you think I am?" I ask her fawning hurt placing a hand on my heart. Harry then gave Ron and Hermione his home phone number. He told them to call him saying how he'd taught Mr Weasley how to use the phone last summer. Also that he couldn't stand only having his cousin to talk too for two months.

"Your aunt and uncle will be proud, won't they?" Hermione asks Harry. "When they hear about what you did this year" she clarifies as we pull into the station.

"Proud?" Harry says as if the mere thought was ridiculous. "Are you mad? All those times I could have died and didn't manage it. They'll be furious" he tells her. I giggle and we get off the train before going through the barrier. I spot my uncle and say goodbye to my friends wishing them a good holiday before heading over to him.

He gave me a hug before grabbing my trunk and free hand before disapperating. "Go do your homework and I'll order dinner in half an hour" he tells me when we appear in the den. I nod my head and release Snowy before going to my room to do my homework. This is going to be a long summer, with me being grounded.
