The "EASY" Job

Lucy's POV:

It all started with a simple job.

Erza told me, Natsu, and Gray that we would be going on a job with her to stop some thieves. It sounded easy in the paper.

I regret every word I said.

We boarded a train to take us to the location. Natsu was complaining the whole way there. "Why do we have to do this, guys?" he moaned. "Because we do. If you don't want to earn money, that is your choice," Erza snapped, glaring at the moaning Natsu.

Natsu's POV:

Erza is so mean. "I feel like I'm gonna throw up," I mumbled. It was hard to speak or move. I tried not stare at Lucy, but I couldn't help it.

Ever since I saw Lucy that first day, I couldn't help but have feelings for her,

"What is this feeling?" I wondered.

Gray interrupted my daydream, and started yelling at me. "NATSU, YOU LOSER, GET UP! WE'RE HERE!" he yelled.

"GEEZ, ICE PRINCESS! YOU DON'T HAVE TO YELL!" I
yelled back. "Do we have a problem, boys? " Erza asked, looking at us.

Gray and I screamed. "No Ma'am!" we said, and gave her huge, fake smiles. "Good!" Erza exclaimed.

"Flamebrain."

"Ice princess."

Lucy's POV:

After the long trip, we finally made it. We quickly found the hideout, and started to fight the criminals. Natsu and Gray were yelling the entire time. I felt like my ears were going bleed. So, I went somewhere else to get away from that horrible screaming.

I was hitting one of the criminals with my whip to slow their attack down. Then, all of sudden, an innocent man who was forced to work there walked by, and I accidentally hit him with my whip. He slowly fell onto the ground.

Tons of thoughts rushed through my head. "This guy is so weak and helpless, and now he's dead! It's all my fault!"

"SIR!" I screamed, but it was useless. I felt my magic energy slowly being drained from my body. I did nothing. I just stared in shock at the man I accidentally killed.

He was surrounded by a puddle of blood. All of sudden, it felt like more energy was being sucked out of me. Then, I fell to my knees. Someone hit me. I felt like I couldn't stand. I screamed in pain. The pain felt like knives were stabbing at my stomach. Then, I heard someone coming. I was afraid of what might happen to me.

Natsu P.o.v
While I was fighting and attacking, when I heard a scream "AHHHHHH!" "LUCY?!" I yelled. "What did they do her?" I wondered. I followed the sound of her voice.

Eventually I found her, I saw her but instead of her standing she was screaming and cuts were all over her. Next to her was a man, he did not look like a thief, instead he was in a puddle of blood and looked worse than Lucy's situation.

I ignored him for now and headed for Lucy. Before I could help two thiefs stood in my way, "Buddy stand back if you get any closer we will, KILL HER" He said. "Yea!" said the other guy. "Shut up Jerry!" He said. "Sorry.." Jerry said.

"I don't care for all this nonsense, GIVE ME LUCY OR ELSE SOMEONE IS GONNA GET HURT!" I yelled, giving them a nasty glare.

"Fine, you wanna play this game, fine." He said. " I will burn you!" Then Lucy whispered, "Run, Natsu forget about me." She smiled but was in a lot pain I could tell from the looks of her face.

"Just run..."

"LUCY WE GOTTA GET OUT OF HERE!" I yelled.

I picked her up and started running "Natsu......" Lucy whispered. "ERZA AND GRAY WERE ARE YOU GUYS" I was desperate, I was trying to save Lucy and myself. Then I see Erza and Gray running to me "We took out the others.. WHAT HAPPENED HERE?!" Gray exclaimed.

"I will explain later"

"We gotta help Lucy!" I said. " Lucy!" Erza said and growled at the men. "Boys, take Lucy to a hospital." "But we want to fight too." Me and Gray whined. "That's a order NOW!" Erza yelled. "Fine!"
I started running alongside Gray. What is gonna happen is Lucy gonna be okay? I wondered.
