Later that day I was sitting in my games room with the bed laid out. I had my books, pens and loose sheets of paper sprawled all over it doing my homework. Juice WRLD & The Weeknd's 'Smile' was blaring through my speakers (screwed on the walls on all corners of the room), when my folks walked through the open door and handed me an envelope.
"We're off sweetheart. That should get you through till we get home." my mother said pulling me into a hug. "Don't spend it on drugs" my Dad said in his stern Daddy voice that used to scare the crap out of me, when I was 5.
After a looong talk about 'how can you concentrate with that music so loud, don't break anything, don't walk the streets at night, don't get in cars with drunk people, lock the doors, responsibility, no boys and if there is to be then be safe' and blah blah blah... they kissed me goodbye and left for the weekend.
I was finding it hard to concentrate on my homework I'll admit as I LOOOVE this song!
I give up! I threw my pen on the bed, leapt up and started dancing around, swaying my hips and bopping around the room. What!? Did I mention I LOVE this song?
The sound of Eminem and Bruno Mars's 'Lighters' interfered with my jam as it sang from the pocket of my school bag. Grrr nobody called to give me a well deserved break from my homework but as soon as I get my groove on... I rolled my eyes as I answeted the call.
"Hello" I spoke into the iphone, a little exasperated
"How's your girls night going?" A familiar sexy voice asked
"Yeah great!" I said sarcastically.
"Why the attitude?" he asked in response.
I sighed before replying, "Just a little frustrated is all. We rescheduled till tomorrow night coz Ray got a date she really wanted to go on."
"Are you angry about it?" he asked simply.
"Not angry just a little let down, I've never done anything like that before so I was looking forward to it. Doesn't matter though. What's one more night right!?" Am I trying to convince him I'm not that upset about it or myself? Hmmm
"More time to spend with me then."
"Ummm well I'm doing homework right now so I..." I was cut off by a knock at the door.
"Ugh! Can you hold on there's someone at the door." I said not really waiting for an answer before I walked to the door and opened it. What the....? I looked at my phone then at the smirking figure standing at my door. Then back at my phone, the call had disconnected.
"Hey babe" Mike greeted me, still standing at my door leaning against the frame with amusement clear on his face at my mouth gaping, still staring at my phone.
I looked up at him and chuckled as I put my phone in my pocket and leant against the door frame mimicking his body language.
"Babe?" I challenge with distaste, I really don't like being called that.
"What's wrong with that?" He retorted with boredom.
"I'm not a pig!" I scowled at him not liking his attitude.
He shrugged his shoulders as he brushed past me and walked into house like he owned it.
"Come on in, make yourself at home." I mumbled under my breath as I closed the door and headed back up the stairs.
He followed me into the game's room and looked around at the mess from my, none existent, homework session.
He walked over to my stereo and turned it off. I stood staring at him in disbelief, my jaw making out with the carpet.
