CHAPTER:3

I'd woken up to the irritating noise of a repeatedly screeching alarm. I got up and got dressed. I pulled my hair into a messy high bun and pulled some denim faded shorts up my thighs. Going with the shorts went a pale tank top. Finishing the look with a bit of blush and a dip of mascara, I was ready for another hell of a roller coaster, they called school. I ran down the stairs, only to find that Maria was in the kitchen cooking with Amanda, whom sat on a stool and enjoyed her meal of blueberry pancakes.

I shot dozens of glares her way, which she highly unnoticed.

"Morning Maria," i chirped, with fake exasperation dripping between my teeth. Amanda, however, couldn't trap the smirk that escaped my way.

I sat down with my portion of pancakes and turned to stare straight at Amanda, pupil to pupil.

"How was your sleep last night?" I sarcastically questioned with a twitch of the right eye. I definitely wasn't going to let this slip.

"Pretty good!" She replied.

"Did you enjoy opening cupboards?" I asked.

Amanda's face painted red as she began to stuff her mouth with the delicate blueberry pancakes. But that wasn't going to hide the shade her pale skin has now turned.

"Answer me, Amanda Lachlan!" I hissed through gritted teeth. Anger was the least of my emotions by now, as  l the unanswered questions from last night invaded my angered temper. 'Amanda, the home invader!' I thought.

"Stop threatening your sister, please Vivienne," Maria warned , as the hot pan began to sizzle, darkening the tanned pancakes.

"She is not my sister and will never be!" I screamed, my short temper began to shorten as time quickened.

"Whats with the noise?" Adam asked chuckling as he skimmed a couple of steps in a hurry for breakfast.
Maria was after all known for her delicious blueberry pancakes. The whole town tuned in a week before, when Christmas had arrived  every year we would host a Christmas breakfast get- together for the whole town. It seemed exciting at the age of twelve but now it seems to drag me to my grave.

Adam grabbed my shoulders, squeezing my shoulder muscles out as he attempted to turn my body to face his.

I shrugged him off so hard that hurt erupted in his eyes. But it was either my shoulder muscles or Adam's feelings, and I'm sure we would all agree that if made the right decision. I grabbed my bag and left making sure to slam the door. Jumping into my Mazda I zoomed off. I wasn't regretting one thing that i said as to me, there was a major difference between a sister and a step-sister. She didn't have the right to reply me the way she did.

I rode the rest of the way to school as songs began to change on the radio, immediately tuning the rhythm of my hums along.
I hopped out of my car, locked it and walked up to Chase and Austin whom were drained in their conversation.

"Hey guys!" I smoothly rolled into the conversation.

"Im the first thing you had to see in the morning, am i really that irresistible?" Chase smirked in his deep voice, he approached females in his bed with. Austin and i exchanged our hellos as Chase cracked one of his hilarious jokes once again. Chase and Austin started to walk on either side of me, one Chase's immaturity was over with. Chase casually swing his arm over my shoulder as we neared our lockers. Shocked with the sudden gesture my body began to stiffen along with every step I took. Noticing my stiff body, he replied, "Its okay Christina wont mind, trust me," Chase whispered into my ear as my muscles began to relax and all stiffness disappeared.

At that moment Christina, Chase's girlfriend, came running over to us.

"Hey my darlings!" She sung as she pecked Chase and enwrapped Austin and i into one of her bone crushing hugs.
