Buon mercoledì, i miei bambini!

XOXO

-Kate

I sat on the bench outside her office, waiting for her to call me in too. This was her strategy. Talk to them one at a time. When I was dating Dallas, I was in here quite often. I was used to covering for Dallas, Theo, and Cole but I had never been called to the office because I did something bad.

To say I was surprised was an understatement when she called me in her office with Dallas still in there.

I walked into her office and immediately started confessing. "I'm so sorry for kissing Dallas in the hallway, Ms. Jameson. I'm also sorry for skipping." I heard Dallas' sharp intake of breath.

"Skipping!?" She seethed. I heard Dallas groan under his breath.

"Oh, you.....didn't....know." I said awkwardly, taking a seat next to Dallas.

"Detention. Both of you after school for the rest of the week. Now onto the original reason for you being here." She got out the pink slips and wrote our names down. Great, another detention.

"A student told me that there was a fight in the hallway before school started between Ryan Hoffman and Dallas." She said pointing towards Dallas. "The student then said that it had something to do with you, Miss Olsen." She then waved her bony finger towards me.

I went to answer but Dallas beat me to it. "It was a misunderstanding, Ms. Jameson."

"A misunderstanding?" She raised a thin eyebrow at us and smirking.

Yes, a misunderstanding. He said and stood to his feet. "If this conversation is going to continue, I'd like to phone my father." Her smirk suddenly dropped.

Ms. Jameson's eyes widened as she stood up. "No!" We both looked at her like she was crazy. She gave out a nervous laugh and sat back down. "There is no reason to call your father because I'm willing to overlook this little tiff. You may go back to class." She got out some other papers and pretended that we weren't there.

Dallas led me out of the office and out into the empty hallways. I shook my head, "I guess I'll never know why people are so scared of your parents."

"Have you met them?"

"I have and they aren't so bad. Yeah, they are a little intimidating, but there is no reason to act like Ms. Jameson did."

"They are both ruthless business people. They weren't scary to you because they liked you."

"I bet they hate me now."

"Weird enough they aren't mad at you. They were actually mad at me."

"Why?" I asked stopping by my locker.
