My soul empathizes
Grief and pain
Yet
I feel the pit
Deepening
Darkening
Devouring
Clawing at my stomach
Gnawing at my mind
Chipping at my heart
Scattering the pieces
Stretching my skin thin
Tearing my heart apart
Making my mind confined
Until all I feel is
Empty
