Chapter 2

The Void

The place is in absolute darkness so unlike the celestial gardens that one has to cross through before entering the void. But even so this darkness was the dragon's home - their beginning.

In this darkness, the earth dragon looms and recuperates his wounds. He is alive but hurt and a bit powerless due to the onslaught that night. Since he lost energy during the encounter, he couldn't keep his guardians, Richard and Mark with him and are now currently mortal after more than a thousand years of service. To make things worse, his elemental doll was destroyed and couldn't go back to the mortal realm looking a bit un-human.

The elemental doll was first invented by the earth dragon centuries ago and introduced it to his siblings. The elemental doll is a vessel for the dragons to make them look human. He invented the elemental dolls so that he and his siblings could blend in the mortal realm without those scrutinizing eyes looking for their horns or tails and weird hair color. The elemental dolls are crafted by pure dragon energy and are crafted to look human-like. It contains its signature dragon's essence that it can only be use by the one who creates it and takes decades to make. When its destroyed, it will still be in human form for a second and then it reverts back to a certain element it was crafted.

They can only make one elemental doll since it takes up most of their powers and there are also some cases when they have to surrender their guardians since they also have some of their powers just to make one. It's not made for vanity for the dragons to hide their semi-dragon forms but it also acts as a shield should problems arises.

He sighed. In the void no one knows how many hours have past. It seems very timeless staying in this place. He is sure his siblings would come should the news of his human form has disappeared without a trace.

Now in his dragon form, he patiently waits for the arrival of his siblings.

In the celestial garden, the pearl gates that blocks the portal to the mortal realm was opened and two people emerge at its beautiful gates.

A young raven-haired woman dressed in an ancient China royal blue gown and a stoic man whose long dark hair is tied with a ponytail and is dressed in dark blue armor continued to walked like it was an everyday sight to see these ethereal paradise-like garden.

The dragons and their guardians and so as a chosen few allowed by the dragons can enter this realm but only the dragons and their guardians can open this portal.

It is said that the light exist first before darkness but to the dragons, darkness is the one that comes first.

The celestial garden wouldn't exist without the dragon's magic. They created it when they can properly use their magic and work together. After creating the celestial gardens, on that realm they created a portal to the place unknown to them; the mortal realm.

Curiosity draws them to the new realm and went to the place. They split into two factions and scattered across its realm.

The void is further north of this realm of eternal light. One would see its entrance when you see a huge black gate. In the void, the humans who are invited are now forbidden to enter. For if they enter; they will be extinguish of their existence as they got warped into its dark vortex.

The young woman and the stoic warrior reached the pavilion that is in the center of the celestial garden. The woman observe the view of the beautiful garden and then looks back to see the white gates that leads to the mortal realm slowly closing its gates.

The pavilion has intricately carved chairs and tables and the young woman took a seat. When she stood up, her body was still sitting on the chair like a soul has escape from her body but in actuality the woman who looks like she's sleeping on a chair is an elemental doll and the woman who stood up is actually a dragon.
