A WEEK LATER
Bella POV
I was over at Billy's house getting ready for charlie's funeral. My mother flew down for the funeral and she is sitting in the living room now. She has been asking me to move down to Jacksonville with her for days now. But I don't want to put her, Phil, or my new soon to be baby brother or sister in any danger. Everywhere I go danger follows.
After the funeral I went back to my house; since I was eighteen already I could stay, Charlie had everything paid off; he left a good policy for me to live off of. My mother is leaving in the morning; I would have loved to get on that plane with her tomorrow, but I know that cannot happen; everyone is better off if I am alone.
I watched as my mother drove off in the taxi and I waved good bye. I ran upstairs to get my book-bag and got into my truck and went to school. I did not want to go to school but I hated to stay in the house alone even more.
There were people already in the parking lot when I pulled in. They were all just staring at me, it was worse than the first day of school. When I saw Angela and she came up to me, said nothing, and just pulled me into a hug. This is why I love her so much, she knew exactly what to say and at this moment it is nothing. I am so tired of people telling me that they are "sorry" as if it is anyone else's fault but my own that Victoria killed my father. All of this is my fault.
After school that day I went to sit in the woods, since there was no one else coming after me, I was safe. After a while I laid back onto the grass, closed my eyes, and I just laid there for hours. By the time I open my eyes it was dark out. I walked back to my truck and drove all the way home. When I got home I ate a quick meal and then went to my room, but when I opened my room door there were two pale skinned men with dark red eyes sitting on my bed it did not take me any time to figure out what they were.
"Hello Bella, I am Demetri and this is Felix of the Volturi Guard." The bigger one said with a thick accent.
"Hello." Was all I said, Edward had already told me about them and what they can do.
"Are you not afraid of two men you don't know in your bedroom... at night?" Demetri asked.
"No. I already know what you are. I know what you can do to me, I watched one of your kind kill my father, I have nothing to lose, and your kind is the one who left me with nothing. So you ask why I am not afraid and that answer is simple. I am not afraid because I have nothing more but my life for you to take. A life that I don't care about any more." I said.
Felix bowed his head as if to apologize.
"We are not here to kill you Bella, but you must come with us back to Volturi. Aro would like to meet you."Demetri said.
"Okay fine, but can I pack a few things and send a few people an email, don't worry, I won't tell them where I'm going and I won't run and even if I did I cannot out run you."
Felix laughed
"Okay you may do so, we will be right outside the door waiting. Make it fast." Demetri said
I ran to my computer and emailed my mom, Jacob, Angela, and then I went and packed a few things. When I was done we walk silently outside. I continued towards my truck.
"Where do you think you're going?" Felix asked.
"Can we take my truck to the airport so that it looks like I went out of state or something along those lines?" I asked.
"Okay that makes sense. Let's go" Felix said.
When I pulled into the airport, we went straight to a private plane. After the plane took off, I was only up for an hour before I fell asleep. I was awoken by Demetri telling me that we were almost there. I rested my head on the window and did not move till we landed. When we got to the mansion we walked quickly to where Aro was. When we walked into the room Aro smiled, took my hand and closed his eyes and it is at that point I knew he was crazy. He opened his eyes and his smile fell into frustration.
