"I need it bad Ronnie". Gabby said. She didn't want him to leave because she need her fix but she didn't have the money

Gabby was a crack head after about 5 years of taking care of duchess she turned to crack because she didn't know the baby's father. She got tried and stressed and turn to drugs to escape the thought of stress. Gabby slept with any and ever thing willing to pay her money for her fix. She didn't take care of the baby she birthed.

Duchess was smart to only be five she knew most of the things that goes on around her. Sometimes she barely eat unless she goes to school. On the weekends she be lucky to get a bag of chips. Duchess used to live her grandma but she died of cancer when duchess turned five.

"Bitch is this why you call me over here you need another hit". Ronnie said.

"Yes I need it but I don't have all the money". Gabby said trembling from her not getting her fix.

"Naw bitch you untrustworthy". Ronnie said with so much venom behind his voice.

Ronnie was right gabby had plan to rob him of what she needed. She knew she didn't have money for her fix, because she had caught a std. Nobody wanted to fuck an std.

Ronnie was about to walk out the door when gabby pulled out a gun. She shot Ronnie in the back and he hit the ground with a thump. She then shot him again in the head and Ronnie died instantly. Little did gabby know she shot someone who was important to the streets and she would die soon.

Duchess jumped when she heard a gun shot, she sat up in her bed. Then she heard another one and jumped out of her bed and climbed under her bed. She didn't know what was happening but she knew not to go near gunshots because the leads to an early death.

"What da fuck". The unknown man said. After he heard the gun shots go off in the house he seen Ronnie go in he had to check shit out. So busted in to see what the fuck happened. When he did he saw his homie laid out with two shots in him.

Gabby was in her room she was to high to fully realize that door was kicked in. By the time she realized that someone had kicked the door in it was too late. Ronnie homie was at her room door after checking the other rooms in the house and finding nothing. He placed the silencer on the gun and aimed at Gabby's head. When she turned towards the door she couldn't function or run because of the high she was on all she could was look shocked when the bullet hit her in her head. She died instantly just like ronnie.

Ronnie homie fled the scene with a heavy heart and a relief that he got revenge for his dead homie. That he knew since he was younger in diapers. He was gone he got in his car and sped off because he knew the cops would be there any minute from the first shots.

Meanwhile duchess was still under her bed when she knew for sure the man that check her room was gone. Duchess climbed from under her and ran down the hall to her moms room. Duchess saw blood all over the floor and bed where her mother laid.

Even through gabby wasn't a good mom to duchess. Duchess still loved her with all her heart and to see her mother like that crushed her heart. Duchess ran over to her mothers bed and climbed up there beside her and laid on her chest. Even doe half of Gabby's face was gone. She still laid beside her.

"Mommy wake up why you still sleeping the bad people are gone". Duchess said crying hard on her mom duchess was very smart for her age. So she knew her mama was dead .

A few minutes later police officer's walked though the opened door. They saw Ronnie's body first. Then they began searching the house, they went down the halls guns aimed. When the opened the door the discovered a crying duchess and a dead gabby, with half of her face missing.

"Mommy wake up the bad man are gone." Duchess cried even harder she didn't notice the policeman at the door. They entered the room.

"Hey hey come on here baby girl were gonna help you. Your mom. She is gone OK were gonna make sure your fine ok.'' The leader police officers said with his hand out walking towards her slowly. Duchess looked at him and the other officer as tears slips down her face, but she didn't say a word.

"Were sorry about your mom. But we need to get you checked out" He grabbed her hand and helped her down off the bed.

"Ten four over do you copy." His radio sounded though out the quite room.

"Yes I copy the house were the gunshots were sounded was a tragedy send an ambulance and the corner. We found two dead and a little girl around the age of five." He responded

"They ambulance is in route I repeat the ambulance is in route"

"Ten four out." He said. He then looked over his shoulder and sighed.

Officer Mich began to walk over to duchess, but his cut short when the ambulance was heard in the distance. He told them where to find the body's. Duchess is going to the Hospital , even though she not hurt she still needs to be checked.

Later on at the Hospital duchess was sitting in a hospital bed even through it wasn't nothing wrong. Officer Mich came into duchess room

"What's your name." He asked sitting down in the chair beside the bed.

"Key'oni La'shai Davis but my grandpa calls me duchess." She said quietly looking at the officer.

"OK duchess do have any family." He asked her with a warm smile.

"No their all dead they died long time ago or they don't talk to my mom." She said sadly putting her head down.

"OK then how do you feel about a new family." He said
