A beautiful city in the trees. Homes built on the ground and some are just in the trees. Like tree houses. And the people here...all tall, slender, beautiful girls and handsome, muscular, hot boys. Okay, kinda hot boys....a lot of boys though. And all of them have a different strange way about them...friendlier but still cautious.

"Come along, don't fall behind little girl." Athena snarls.

"I am not falling behind. And I am not a little girl. I am-"

"Shut up...I've had enough of your...your...just everything! The way you talk! The way you act! So innocent, so pure! Well we all have blood on our hands!" Athena whips around and shouts.

The whole lively village seems to quiet into a silence. A man with flaming red and orange hair walks up to us, "Is she bothering you Miss Athena? Her and her....wolf?"

"No Falon. Just take her to Cadmar. He is willing to see her. Just don't let him harm the pup...or we all will have heck to pay. She is our Key to that evil place. If anything happens to her precious pooch, we will all be deadmeat. Her mama is President." Athena smiles at the image she just gave to everyone about me. Like I'm a stuck up princesses who should get whatever she wants.

"That is not who I am!" I say in a shaky voice. "I survived the Trials. I saved this wolf pup from certain demise. His name is Baron after the warriors I read about in books which were pretty much treason to read. My mother died when she should have. It's a sad inconvenience that the woman who once was my mother is now the ruthless Killer. I would never abandon an entire village of innocent people to her. Athena, that is not the image I would like you to put into their heads."

Athena snarls, "Fight me then. For second position."

"I will. Hold this." I hand Falon my pup. He kinda just picks him up in surprise.

I crack my knuckles and Athena cracks her neck. "Let's dance princess." She growls.

"Okay tomato!" I am not good at comebacks.

"Hehe! How can a weakling like you beat a woman like me?"

"The fact that I am stronger than you."

She jumps at me, swinging her fist at me. I duck and go for an uppercut. "STOP!" A male voice echoes throughout.

Athena and me stop and look up. A man with bright blue hair stands above us all, in a tall home. It's huge and bigger than the rest. I am assuming this is Cadmar. "What are you two fighting about?" He points at Athena. "You first."

"I was fighting to defend my position. She challenged me oh high and mighty."

"Who is she?"

"The girl I brought who is the daughter of-"

"I can speak for myself." I snap. Athena sends me an icy glare. Cadmar looks at me.

"I was not speaking to you."

"I wasn't either. I was speaking to miss princesses sparkle stuckup over here." I gesture towards Athena.

"Oh really? Is that anyway to treat your leader?" He jumps from where we was over to me. He towers me by about a foot...or two.

"You are not my leader. I do not have a leader. Falon, please give me Baron."

Falon seems to shrink at the sight of Cadmar and sorta just hands me Baron and scurries away...like a mouse. "I am not your leader? That is a rude way to speak to the leader of this world...this city."

"I am sorry. I am a guest and do not believe in formalities." I give a fake smile and toss my hair back. "Besides, you just want me to get into the Places."

Cadmar looks unamused. He kinda looks annoyed, "You little pest, not even five minutes and you already have started a fight with the two highest positioned people in this entire village."

"I was fighting with you. I was reasoning with you why I was right. Now, I heard you wanted to meet me? Well you met me. So I am going out in the woods with Baron and I bid you all a good day. Ta-ta."

I turn on my heel and walk back out to the woods. Why would Jake ever even think I would wanna be in a place like this?

"Please wait up Acid!" I feel Jake's hand grab my shoulder.

He turns me around, "I know this place isn't your style. But give it a chance. I mean, Athena and you might even become friends."

"I'd never become friends with that stuck-up, hideous souled, mean, ruthless brat!"

"Okay, okay. Athena has been my friend since I was younger. It isn't my fault that you don't get along."

"Yes it is. You brought me here. You just admitted you knew I wouldn't fit here. And I was your friend since you were young too! And what did she mean earlier huh? When she was talking about her and you and her father and your mother?"

Jake shifts his feet uncomfortably, "My mom used to sneak her and me out the border. We'd meet up with them and I'd hang out with her. I was young."

"I've known you since I was born. That was when my mom and me were friends." I say.

Jake nods, "Yeah but-"

"You never thought to tell me this?"

"I never thought it was important."

"Of course."

"Really?" He says, his excitement perking up.

"No! You never thought to tell your best friend that you met a secret elf looking girl with your mother for years? Never once did that cross your mind?"

He ducks his head, "Not really. I didn't want to betray you."

"It hurts doesn't it? Betrayal? Just like you did. You betrayed my trust and me. I'll see you around, Jacob."

He winces at the name. No one knows that his mother was the only one who used that named. Only when he was in trouble. It isn't even his real name. Just sounds stricter than Jake.

I turn around and, with Baron in my arms, left through the weird wall thing.

I hope you are loving it. Looks like there is trouble in paradise eh? I think next chapter may be in Jake's Point of View.

Cadmar is the picture at the top :D
