I sit at dinner, eating in silence. "So yea, I had to reorganize everything in my storage room because someone couldn't find their dang cookbook." Jerry growls, turning to look at Xavier.

Xavier offers a sheepish smile, "If I didn't have that cookbook then you guys wouldn't have this amazing meal. Be happy for that Jerrybear."

"Hmph!" Jerry says, crossing his arms.

Xavier gets up and goes over to Jerry. Eye to eye and Xavier pouts, "Please Jerry Berry? For me?"

"Fine. This is good I guess."

"That's great!" Xavier smiles, sitting back down.

"Well Fiona and me went out today. We went berry picking and I have to say that there were less than normal for this time of year." Damion says, poking at his food, "I mean, there were plenty but it seems someone is placing them before us. Who could be doing that?"

"The Governments probably." Cadmar growls, shoving a forkful of roast into his mouth. "They...mphhh...want us.....nom nom....to starve." Cadmar puts more food inside his mouth.

I bite into the roast, listening the conversation. I'm almost thinking Cadmar wants to murder me. He almost did just helping me out of the water hole, which he called a pool. He then pretty much shoved me upstairs, into my room to change.

"That's true. But I had fun today. I'm happy I had a day off. Thanks Cadmar. I love being with Fiona." Damion smiles dreamily.

"We know!" Everyone yells.

Damion frowns and puts food in his mouth.

"Well today let's just say Fernis and I had some fun." Derrick smirks at me, "You could've come Ethel. You would've been very welcome to."

"No." Cadmar growls, looking at Derrick with cold eyes. "Don't."

Derrick seems to shrivel, "Sorry Cadmar." He whimpers.

"Well, I hung out with Trinity today so...we just talked." Falon shrugs.

I immediately look at Falon, "Who is Trinity?"

Falon's face blushes, "She is one of my friends!"

"What kind of friend?"

"A-A good f-f-friend!" He stutters.

"But what-"

"For goodness sake! It's his girlfriend! Can't you catch on to anything you idiotic Female." Cadmar snarls.

Everyone falls silent and looks at Cadmar with their mouths open. I feel tears coming into my eyes. "This dang brat thought it'd be funny to pretend she was drowning because guess what? She has another Talent which is she can breath under dang water! And she did, she laid down in the bottom of the pool with her eyes shut. And I thought I killed her. I felt myself about to tear myself apart. This moron Female can't get it. No Females ever will nor can." He looks at me with challenging eyes.

"WELL IF YOU DIDN'T DECIDE TO PUSH MY SHOULDERS DOWN INTO THE WATER THEN MAYBE I WOULDN'T HAVE!"

"WELL IF YOU HAD NOT BEEN-"

"THIS IS WHY I DO NOT WANNA LOVE ANYONE EVER AGAIN!" I scream. Cadmar looks as if I punched him. All the other Guys seem very uncomfortable.

I get up with Baron, running up the stairs. Baron turned to bark at Cadmar when we reached the top but I pulled him into the room. I didn't want them to see the salty tears running down my face. I really didn't.

"Ethel! Come back here!" I head Xavier yell after me.

I lock my door, collapsing on it. "This is why I will only ever love you Baron. People are too difficult. And they argue and fight. I should've just stayed in the forest. That way we wouldn't be involved in any of this. I don't wanna be a Second anymore. Or at least not to Cadmar." I whisper, burying my face in Baron's fur.

Baron whines, licking my face. "Don't worry Baron, I just need some time to chill off. I'll be back boy." I whisper, opening my window.

I sit it from the outside and look out. I jump off the edge, landing my fall. I head to the back quietly. I stand at the edge of the pool. I let myself fall face first in, sinking to the bottom. Maybe I should stay here forever. Then no one will be bothered by me.
