I look to Cadmar, "Erhm....can you please leave Berg?"

"Not until she knows...or you tell me that you will tell her. She has something like you guys. It means that-"

"I know! Just please...I will tell her. But hers is more of a natural thing compared to ours." Cadmar growls.

"Natural thing? What are you talking about?"

"I'll explain when I know the time is right. For now, just know that you're a very special and amazing individual. That is not just what I think, that's what I know. Now, Berg, you are dismissed."

"Yes sir. I was the last one Cadmar."

Berg leaves and Cadmar looks at me. "Let's head back to the house. Most of the Guys are out right now but I'm sure you'll find something to do."

"Where are you gonna be?"

"Solving problems that pop up between people. I do this day and night. Which is also how I met you. I believe you were fighting with Athena." A grin toys with his mouth, "I think you said I wasn't your leader."

"I do think I did say that."

"And I think you are right. I'm not your leader. I'm your temporary leader. You, as you clearly said, are your own leader. I have no say in that." Cadmar laughs, "Besides you would've just beaten me up if I had interfered about you saying that."

"Yes I would've. I would so beat you. But then I'd have to work along side Athena and that wouldn't have gone well-"

"THAT IS MY STICK!"

"NO I NEED THAT STICK!"

Then there were several sounds of people fighting. Cadmar and I get up, walking outside to see two people with their fists in defensive positions. "HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU TWO NOT TO FIGHT OVER STICKS!" Cadmar rubs his forehead and marches over to the two.

They look up and I notice something very peculiar about them. Wolf ears....and wolf tail...and teeth like a wolf? What? How?

I follow Cadmar over to them. "Alpha!"

"Guys. I am not your Alpha. Your gang has an actual wolf person Alpha."

"Sorry Cadmar!" One of them says. He has dark brown hair and two huge dark brown eyes. His ears look soft and fluffy and so does his tail. He's tall but not too tall. He also is pretty built.

"We won't fight over another stick Cadmar! Or call you Alpha." The other says. He has black hair except for one white strip off to the side. His eyes are a soft hazel color. He's medium size and also pretty strong. His ears are perked and his tail is low. But also still fluffy! I wanna pet them! Not in a weird way though...no...not in a weird way.

"Alp-Cadmar he took my stick!" The first one says.

"Now Oliver, how many times have I told you that we live in a forest and there are sticks everywhere?"

"A lot." Oliver grouches, his ears lowering.

"And Barker, how many times have I told you to not upset Oliver by taking his sticks?"

"More than you've talked to Oliver about sticks and forests." Barker replies, lowering his ears.

"Now-"

"HEY OLIVER! IT IS NEW GIRL!" Barker says, rushing over to me. I stand awkwardly as he starts sniffing the air around me.

"Barker! No sniffing strangers!" Oliver says, but still rushes over. He starts sniffing too.

Cadmar stands there with a smirk on his face. I just sorta try to back away but they are both around me. Barker and Oliver finally stop smelling me.

"Can I touch your ears?" I ask Oliver.

"Yea! I want ear rubs!"

"But I want ear rubs!" Barker whines.

"You both can have ear rubs." I laugh, reaching my hands up to feel their ears. They feel so much like Baron's and it makes me happy.

"They are so fuzzy and fluffy!"

Oliver and Barker both stand there with the happiest looks on their faces. I watch as Barker's leg slowly starts thumping against the ground. "Okay...Okay! That's enough of that! You don't even know her!" Cadmar says, separating me from Barker and Oliver.

Barker and Oliver laugh, "Yea we do! She's the one who is Second now! And she beat Athena. She has to be one tough chick. Isn't her name Ethel?" Barker asks.

"Yes...but-"

"We know her then!" Oliver replies to Cadmar.

"Can I ask about the-" I start.

"Ears and stuff?" Barker blushes. "I'm hoping Cadmar will explain. It's awkward."

"Okay. Fine. So the Governments decided to do an experiment, apparently. They took about fifty people from one of the Places. They did something to their DNA, combining it with the DNA of a wolf or wild dog or something. They got these people and didn't realize that the people would still have their own will. So they released them and they found their way to us. I wasn't here at the time. They formed their own group that normally sticks together. They are wolf people. They are civilized...mostly. Barker and Oliver are brothers. That's one thing, they do that wolf thing....umm having litters of pup people? Is that what it's called?" Cadmar explains.

"We call our young, pups." Oliver says. "And we have a system in our group. But it's a wolf pack system."

"We are pretty young right now! For our pack. Especially since we haven't been 'tamed' enough to be considered complete adults. We are adolescents or something. And we also haven't found our forever mate yet. That's the reason we went to smell you." Barker explains

"What?" I ask.

"You aren't one of our mates don't worry! When we get out forever mate, then that means whoever we are with, we stay with. Like our Alpha has his forever mate! And it's surprising because our Luna is a human. It's not often we get a human, especially when that human is one of our leads." Barker goes on. "And we usually can either tell by sight or smell if someone is our forever mate. Sorry for coming up to smell you so quickly."

"It's fine."

"We must be going boys, no more fighting over sticks! Especially you Barker, no stealing sticks." Cadmar says.

"Yes Cadmar! Bye Ethel!" They say at once, trotting off.

"See you around Barker and Oliver."

"Those two are so strange." Cadmar shakes his head at me, "Now let's get you home."
