Chapter 5

I texted Ethan and told him to calm down. He texted back immediately. He asked where I was. I told him I was at our hideout and he said he was on the way.

Part of me wanted to leave so I was alone, but the other part craved to see Ethan.

I waited in the concrete slabbed, building that we called our hideout. The building was abandoned, but the government paid for lights so we had lights there.

I waited in the room that we always chilled in, which was one of the old offices in the building.

Ethan walks in looking really worried at me. He yells and says he was worried about me and I should start telling him where I go and stuff.

I ignored him, because I wanted to be alone and I was already going through a lot.

I looked at him and said, "Ethan, mami shot herself last night. Matthew tried to rape me last night. Matthew harassed me earlier. I would like to be alone! Please leave me alone!"

He looked at me and asked what happened with mami and I cried while telling him.

Ethan waited in silence for a couple of seconds, looked me dead in the eye, and kissed me.

I was surprised by it and I think even he was. He closed the kiss by pulling away, and said, "I'm sorry Asianna, I got carried away with my feelings."

I looked at Ethan and I didn't say anything. I stood up and walked towards the house.

He followed me, but didn't say anything.

I climbed up to my bedroom and he walked down the street where his car was and went home.

All night, I couldn't go to sleep. I just laid on my bed staring at the ceiling all night long, and it didn't bother me because I wasn't thinking about anything. My mind was clear of everything.
