Fate Rewritten

Lionus Marfil

     A few days had passed when Leila woke up. Looking around right to left she didn't recognize where she was at all. She immediately sat up to see her surroundings but quickly felt very dizzy and lightheaded. A nurse rushed in to identify what was the commotion and ran over to her. She had horns and a devil tail. She immediately knew...she was in the demon world.

     "Lay back down honey. You must be very weak. Just get some rest and heal up and you should be fine." The nurse said with a calm and heartfull voice trying her best to relax her.

     "Wh-What happened to me?"

     "Your parents started to feel your life force starting to decrease. Fearing what might have happened, they sent some people to come get you. When we found you, you were very weak."

     "No. No! I have to go back! Please!" The nurse looked at me with happy eyes.

     "Don't worry hun, you'll be able to go back soon."


~Time skip to when she's back in the human world~


     Leila tried to find Audrey's house when she finally got back. She ran through the door. Audrey's parents jumped as she bursted through the door suddenly.

     "Where's Audrey?" Leila screamed. They told her she was in a small hospital a few blocks away from their house. Leila bolted out of the door and rushed to the hospital as quick as she could . When she found Audrey, she calmed down and went straight to her side. Holding her hand tightly she said, "Come on Audrey. Wake up. I can't bare to lose you."

     "I 'bare'ly believe you, but don't worry. You won't. You can't get rid of me that easily you know." Audrey opened her eyes and looked over.

     "Can you guys please be quiet!" Akio shouted opening the curtains in one motion revealing himself. "Some of us are trying to rest up you know." They all started to laugh. After a few minutes of their contagious laughter, Leila spoke breaking them both.

     "What happened to you, Audrey. I understand why Akio and I were hurt, but why you?" Audrey looked down at her hands.

     "When I ran off, I found my pack trying to hurt the village. I kept telling them to stop, but they kept refusing. I tried my best to stop them, but someone slashed me with a sword. Because of that happening..." Audrey trailed off not wanting to say anymore.

     "You turned into your wolf form didn't you?" Leila asked, already knowing the answer. Audrey only nodded her head and continued to look down at her hands.

     "Wait, why did she change into a wolf?" Akio asked looking at the both of us.

     "When a werewolf is badly injured, they return back to their original form." Leila said. Audrey just continued to looked down at her hands in disappointment.

     "So that wolf I saved... was you?" He asked becoming hesitant.

     "I thought it was obvious." Audrey replied. After a few hours of talking about what happened, a nurse came in and told both of them they were excused and were allowed to be released from the hospital.

     Once they were released they just aimlessly walked around town, not really having an idea of where they were going. After a while they passed by something that caught Leila's eye. There was a man with very long dark brown hair. He was holding out a cup, asking for money or any handouts. Leila shook Audrey fiercely and pointed at the man. She pushed her off to the side and told her she would be back in a bit, and to stay there and wait for her.

     Leila ran into a store nearby and bought some water for him. She quickly ran up to the man and handed it to him.He looked up hoping it was in her direction and thanked her.

     "Thank you so much." He said. Leila felt tears swell up in her eyes and she just stared at him. The man heard sniffling, most likely coming from the girl in front of him. He slowly reached up to her and put his hand out to her face, and gently touching it.

     "Don't worry. I am fine like this. There's no need to cry." The man looked at Leila. She couldn't help but look at his beautiful deep blue eyes. A tear began to fall. The man felt a tear on his hand and quickly wiped it away.

     "I know this is probably dangerous, but would you like to come back with us?" Audrey asked, noticing Leila didn't want to leave the man. He was speechless and they looked at him and he nodded getting up and grabbing his water obviously becoming very excited. He felt around the for the water and picked it up.

     They all started to walk and noticed the man was looking around and trying to feel around for them. Leila ran up to him and held on to his hand and leading him to their group smiling.

     When they all arrived at Audrey's house they quickly went into search for her parents to check if they were home. To their luck, they weren't. The man was wearing old tattered and ripped clothes, so Akio ran into Audrey's parents' room to get her dad's clothes for him to change into. They all left the room as he changed.

     When they all came back in, they were surprised to find him looking so nice. They all went to sit down in Audrey's room, Audrey on her bed, Akio in the desk chair, and Leila and the man on the floor together.
