Ready for School?

Audrey and Akio were the first to come back from their training that lasted for about a month on end together. They were both discussing about dinner plans and fun things to do while they headed back to the house. Luckily, Audrey's parents' still weren't back from their oversea trip for for work.

"So... What do you want to do?" Akio asked Audrey while opening up the door and stepping in finishing his sentence.

"Hmm... I don't really know. We're still waiting for Leila and Lion to come back from training." Audrey replied walking over, to sit on the soft and comfy couch.

Akio walked over and sat on the couch with Audrey. They started to talk about anything they could think of and turned the TV on to binge watch "The Big bang theory" while waiting for them to either come back or figure out something to do. Audrey got up and made dinner for everyone. She took out the ingredients for tacos and started. After she finished she and Akio started to make the food when suddenly, while putting the plates down Lionus and Lelia bursts through the door screaming at each other and arguing.

"I'm sorry, ok! It's not like I knew!" Lionus shouted as he was pushed through the portal.

"We-Well you should have! I even told you!" Leila said jumping through the portal as it closed right behind her.

"What happened to you two love birds?" Audrey said looking behind her, at the two fighting friends.

"I was changing, and he just decided to waltz right into my room!" Leila yelled at Audrey with a blush spread across her face.

"Leila, you are so stupid. Did you forget? Lion is blind!" Audrey said getting up and helping Lionus to his feet.

"I-I know, but... it's still embarrassing!" Leila said, looking down still being flustered with embarrassment.

"Leila, my side is still hurting. Are you sure this was the only way to protect me?" Lionus said, standing up with caution holding his left side.

"Yes, sadly but this was the only way to protect you.. I'm so sorry it hurts and I can not do anything about it. You'll just have to get used to the pain. Though it is kind of weird your healing won't even try to help it." Leila said walking over to Lionus and grabbing his shirt to pull it up to reveal what seemed like a tattoo. It looked almost like a crest.Something close to what it seemed like a royal crest.

"What is that?" Audrey asked walking over to Lionus and Leila to get a closer look at the mysterious 'tattoo' on the left side of Lionus.

"You can either pass through the demon portal wearing' outfits made be a special material, or those trusted by the royal family will receive a mark on their body. This mark will also allow the person to access anywhere in the demon realm, without pay or a special identification. They can also use this crest to enter anywhere without question." Leila said, as though she was explaining something obvious.

"H-How do you remember that?" Akio asked standing up and walking next to Audrey.

"I may be clumsy and clueless, but that doesn't mean I'm stupid." Leila said shooing Audrey off of Lionus.

"What, are we not 'special' enough to have the same mark?" Audrey asked, placing a hand on her heart, looking hurt.

"Oh, trust me. You don't want this." Lionus said turning around to look near Audrey.

"Why?" Audrey questioned.

"Think of it as, someone has stabbed you a million times, then put lemon juice on it, and then that part is on fire. That's exactly what I'm feeling right now."

"I'm sorry, though! I told you it would hurt!" Leila said with a guilty look on her face looking at Lionus and back at the others.

"Well, besides that, don't we have school tomorrow?" Lionus asked.

"W-What?" Audrey screamed. "It hasn't even been that long! How do we have school so soon?!"

"Well, we were out for a while trying to recover from that village, then it was a few days before we found Lionus, then it was about a month in the human world while we were in the demon world, than there was that day we went to the mall, and then another month that we all got separated." Akio explained the three of them.

"I'm sorry. If I had known about you guys and the burning village, I could have saved some people and helped to heal you guys." Lionus said, hanging his head a little."Don't worry, it isn't your fault, Lio." Leila said walking up and hugging him as she looked up into his eyes and gave him a reassuring look in her eyes. Though he could not see it, he knew she was.The four of them began to discuss what has happened since they all had met up together. The all got up and sat at the dinner table to eat while discussing it over. Audrey and Akio learned more about wolves than they thought they would ever know. Leila learned about a special summoning magic only used by the Belinda bloodline, while Lionus learned about the demon customs. They all talked and laughed until they passed out next to each other. Leila's head resting on Lionus's chest on the couch. Akio on the floor with Audrey curled up next to him.
