Luke jumps over the sofa and sits down next to me. It's nice to have some quiet time whilst the twins are with Summer's mum. The past year has been pretty hectic and although I've spoken to my parents I haven't seen them.
My relationship with Luke is great though, lately we've been saving up and planning our wedding. The dress I've chosen is beautiful, it's traditional and hopefully will make me look like a fairytale princess. I spotted it in one of the charity shops near where I work, I haven't bought it yet but me and Summer are going this afternoon to get it. Luke will be at his suit fitting at the same time, by himself as his mum died last year and none of his friends could go this afternoon.
Being back at school and having to look after twins is a difficult job but we're coping the best we can.
I feel something sharp digging into my side and open my eyes, it's Luke.
"Your elbows are sharp!" I squeal and hit him with one of the cushions.
"Sapphire you've been asleep ages, your mum rang!" He exclaims, a smile across his face. "She wants you to go and meet her for a coffee, I thought you'd want to go." My heart started racing, suddenly I wasn't sure if talking to my parents had been a good idea after all. What if they wanted me to move back with them? Actually I doubt it. Do I even want to go and see her? She wasn't even there when I gave birth. "Are you going?" Luke asks.
I hesitate before nodding. "Yes, I'll go but only to find out what she wants." I grab my coat and Luke hands me a piece of paper with the address of the coffee shop on it.
