After school Summer comes over to help make some invitations. We picked up some paper and cool pens on the way back. "Which colour do you think?" I ask "Gold or silver writing?"
"How about silver writing with a gold border!" Summer says.
"Ok." I get to work writing the first invitation. "I'm going to use yours as practice Summer." I say, writing what I want on all the invites:
'Dear Summer,
Luke and Sapphire would like to invite you to attend our wedding on the twenty-fifth of July at the Holy trinity church.
Please RSVP as soon as possible.'
As I'm writing it my hand shakes and I smudge some of the letters but it will have to do. I pass it to Summer who adds the gold border and puts it in the envelope. I rattle off five more identical invites. (I'm going let Luke write his own ones for his guests as he still hasn't confirmed them.) Then I write a short note which says:
'In honour of Luke's mum who would have given anything to see her son get married here today.'
it's to go by a special bouquet of flowers in the entrance.
