"Summer meet me at the coffee shop near the bowling alley in fifteen minutes, it's important." I say and hang up the phone. When I got here and looked in at my mum I was too scared to go in so I was calling Summer for back up.
"Hey, what's going on?" Summer shouts running round the corner. "I thought the dress fitting wasn't till three!" She stops abruptly as she notices me staring in the window. "Oh shit, what's going on, why is your mum here?"
I grab her hand and pull us out of the view of the window as i whisper. "She's here to see me Summer, I don't know why. Will you come in and sit on the table next to us incase it all gets too much and I need you?" She smiles and pushes me forwards.
"You can do this!" She beams.
We go in and split off towards two tables. My mum looks up from her newspaper and attempts to smile at me although it looks like it's painful. On the table is a hot chocolate and a coffee, I take a seat. "Hi hunny, I got you this." She pushes the hot chocolate towards me and I take a sip. There's and awkward silence so I glance over to Summer who gives me the thumbs up. "Mum why did you want to see me today?" I question. Clearly she is reluctant to answer as she takes a long sip of coffee.
"I heard you're getting married." She looks up, a tear in her eye. "Do you know what it's like to find out from someone else that your own daughter is getting married?"
Speechless my gaze falls to the floor. "I was going to tell you." I mutter. The hurt look in her eyes tells me everything I need to know. She doesn't approve. "I love Luke!" I cry, looking up. "Nothing you say or do can stop me from wanting to marry him,"
