It's three O'clock so I'm at the dress fitting with Summer and my mum, who insisted on coming along. The woman in the shop is being really nice and is managing to keep the situation under control.
The big white dress I've chosen is difficult to get into but after a bit of breathing in and huffing and puffing, I'm in. Lace zig zags across my back then leads into the skirt at the bottom which is decorated with daintily hand crafted flowers, each with a small fake pearl in the middle.
"Wow!" Summer gasps. "You look beautiful, doesn't she?"
My mum looks up and whispers "I love it, it's perfect." I cant believe she isn't making a fuss about it being from a charity shop. Leaping forward I give her a massive hug.
Once I'm out of the dress it's time to pay for it so the assisstant punches some numbers into the till. It's three hundred pounds, rummaging around in my purse I attempt to find my money when I feel a hand on my shoulder, it's my mum. "Let me buy your wedding dress." She sobs. "It's the least I can do." I'm shocked and can barely believe my eyes as she swipes her card in the machine and says "Done!"
My mum says goodbye to me as she walks off in the opposite direction to me and Summer, who are heading back to Summers house to hide the dress so Luke doesn't see it.
When we get there we shut the dress away at the back of Summers wardrobe and go to check on Summers mum who's with the kids.
Ruby-Ann and Charlie are sat on the floor playing with various different toys that they were given. I pick Ruby-Ann up to give her a kiss as she squeals. "Come on, we need to go home and see your dad!" I laugh.
I thank Summer and her mum before bundling the two little troublemakers into the back of the car and telling the taxi driver to take us home.
