When we get back Luke is cooking dinner. "How was your suit fitting?" I ask. He looks up from what he is doing and walks over to give me a kiss on the cheek.
"It went really well thanks, what happened with your mum?" Luke comments.
"We had a bit of an argument at the coffee shop then she insisted on coming to the dress fitting. And get this... she bought it for me!" I squeal.
"Did she mention seeing her grand children anytime soon?"
"No." I sigh. We feed Ruby-Ann and Charlie before putting them to bed and sitting down to do some wedding planner over dinner.
"So we want to get married at the Holy Trinity on July 25th?" Luke queries.
"Yes I think that's right. Shall we book it?" I say. Luke picks up the phone and starts to dial the number for the church bookings.
"They've put me on hold." He moans. "How many people do we think are going to be there?" I attempt to count.
"Well hopefully, Julie, Summer, Summers mum and possibly my parents. If I can force them to."
"I'm sure your parents will want to come to your wedding Sapphire." Luke reassures me.
"Who are you inviting Luke?" He looks at the floor.
"I'm not sure." He spins round and starts talking into the phone. "Ah yes hello... it's free that day, that's great news. There wont be very many people, although there will be two small children is that ok?" I take a seat at the table and continue eating my dinner whilst pondering over who else to invite.
The next morning is a school day so I have to get up early and get ready even though I'm knackered from having to keep getting up to soothe either a screaming Charlie or Ruby-Ann in the night. I get the twins dressed and fed then grab an apple on my way out the door.
Luke is just behind me and catches up with me crossing the street. The double pushchair is a nightmare to push so I'm glad when we get to school and drop off the twins at the nursery next door. We get a cheap deal because Julie knows the owner. The hardest part about leaving the kids in day care is never the money, its always having to let them go. They make the most ridiculous fuss about it and I miss them all day, even if it does give me a break.
I say goodbye to Luke and head to first lesson where Summer is waiting for me. She pulls out a chair next to her and I sit down smiling. "We booked the wedding venue." I say.
"Oh my gosh, really!" She screams. "You haven't even sent out the invites yet!"
"I know." I shrug. "But we know it's only going to be a small wedding and I'm not going to be taking any excuses for people not being there."
"I'll totally be there Sapphire." Summer grins. "If you cant afford printed invites why don't I come over later and help you make some?"
"That's a great idea." I beam.
