It was slow going and the pain was ever constant. This was a different pain from what you were used to, this was foreign. It was almost beautiful, if one saw beauty in suffering. You had learned long ago that suffering was always temporary. It will end and just like the heartbeat of this monster, it faded in the distance.

You groaned and whined as the hook swung gently. You could see everyone from your location, which was odd, but there wasn't really time to question it. It looked like they were all either working on a generator? You couldn't tell, it was just people crouching close to the ground and appearing to tug at an unseen object. The other was slowly moving closer to you, they were also crouched. It was odd, they moved so slowly, as if the monster was still nearby. You wondered to yourself why they edged closer to you at a painfully slow pace. What was so close that you couldn't hear? You didn't hear anything besides a slow crackling that seemed to come from the glowing shapes slowly forming around you.

The figure edged closer still, you wanted to call out to them. To tell them to hurry, but you couldn't. Your voice wasn't working. So you were left with the sound of crows amd crackling. You heard the faint revving of that dreaded chainsaw and heard a scream as you saw a yellow glow turn red. You still couldn't tell who it was though.

It seemed that that was motivation enough for the person coming to help you to move faster, seeing as the coast was clear. The reached you as a long claw-like object reached down from above you, it was then you noticed that the crackling had stopped. You screamed as it came down, grabbing a hold of it and trying to push it away from you. Several others were trying to close in on you from the sides, but they seemed hesitant. The person, who you recognize now to be Meg, stared in slight awe and fear of the being in front of her before she pulled you off of the dreadful hook.

She wasted no time in carefully moving away into the corn field, motioning for you to follow her.  You went to thank her, but she hushed you with a simple finger over her lips. No talking, you thought to yourself. Must make it easier to stay hidden, not that it matteted, for a red aura and piercing scream filled your vison and hearing as you saw another person placed on a hook. It seemed to be floating or maybe it was just elevated.

Meg didn't seem to care about the hooked person and she quickly went to work trying to patch up your shoulder. You were whining and groaning and based on the puddle of blood surrounding you, bleeding profusely. None of this seemed to bother her as she worked. Was it because she was too scared to care or because she'd seen worse? You weren't sure, but you could now see that her hair was orange. How had you mistaken it for blonde earlier? It was an odd thing to notice, but it was a distraction and soon enough you were healed.

Meg began to walk off, motioning again for you to follow her. You nodded and stayed close following her out of the corn as you saw someone else grab the other hooked person. Now the question was who had been hooked. You hoped that it wasn't Jake, you didn't know much about this place, but you couldn't imagine that being stuck on a hook again was a good thing for anyone's health.

You and Meg walked along silently together and you shook slightly, you weren't sure how you were handling this or how you weren't on the ground having a panic attack. But you weren't. Your mind was going a million miles an hour, survival being it's main thought. If you had to work on generators to get out of here then so be it.

You found a generator, this time it was considerably easier to locate and had more shelter around it. You were glad for that, multiple exits seemed to be necessary if you wanted to stay alive. You and Meg crouched down next to it and began working. The work came quickly and you couldn't hear anything but the increasingly loud sound of the generator. You tensed up as you heard a distant shout of pain. Just as before, sparks flooded your vision and you backed off, sheilding your eyes. Meg seemed unfased and she continued to work. You slowly rejoined her, feeling bad for backing off and messing up. If she was upset she didn't show it and in a few moments the generator was complete and you were sneaking away, a faint heartbeat sounding in your ear. That heartbeat quickly grew louder along with the animalistic revving of that dreaded chainsaw. You ducked behind a tree, watching as the beast tore past you and into a wall you had previously been crouched by. You whimpered slightly and began to creep to another tree while the figure opened a locker. God were you glad you hadn't hidden inside it. You could only imagine what he'd have done.

The beast didn't seem satisfied, as he continued his hunt for you and Meg. It was terrifying. You could hear him snarling as he searched, a red glow staining the ground where his gaze met it. You realized far too late that he had noticed you. That realization hit when you recived a swift and brutal smack to the back.  You screamed and bolted forwards, adrenaline flooding your veins. You glaced back to see him tossing his weapon in... glee? You regretted looking when he came running after you. You comtinued to run, but that rush of energyfaded quick and you were running with a limp and holding your side. You looked around for a place to lose him and found nothing. You had moved farther away from the corn and you weren't sure you could make it that far. You ran him around trees and barrels and farm equipment. Anything you could find, you hopped through windows, but if anything he got closer. It was infuriating to think that you had escaped an abusive husband to wind up being hunted by a new monster. At least it didn't hide it's intentions though.

A scream left your lips as you fell forwards to the ground, face first into the dirt as the beast tossed his weapon in victory. Just another kill, you supposed. You groaned and weakly crawled forwards, unsure of where you were going,  just that it was away. You let out a small yelp as he picked you up, roughly throwing you over his shoulder. You stuggled once more, blindly and in a panic, adrenaline rushing our veins and blotting out the pain for a few short moments before you were tossed once more onto a bloody, rusted hook.

You barely had a chance to catch your breath before a large claw came down upon you, causing another scream in a lethal dosage of suprise and pain. You struggled against the claw, it pushed against your hands and you groaned and whimpered as the hook moved from the new force. You didn't have time to look around for your comrades or even if that beast was still around. All of your energy and focus was on the threat in front of you. You felt your arms start to lose their grasp and you began to grow sluggish. You couldn't hold out much longer and this-this entity knew it. It began to fight harder against your arms, forcing you to crumble or to fight harder. You were not strong enough to fight harder, so you let it take it's small victory over you. You let it push harder as you struggled for you life. It was grueling and you judt couldn't hold it back any longer, you spared a glimpse to the area around you. Just your luck that no one had come. It seemed that someone was injured and two others occupied with a generator. A small smile reached your face. Maybe the three of them would survive. Maybe they could live. Get away from here. That was your final thought before the pain began.
