"Ow!" I screamed and kicked being confused. All I felt was a something fall on me. Was I sleeping? I don't even remember falling asleep. I look around to see that the movie was over, and I only woke up the dogs with my scream. I looked on my lap to see Sara giggling into a pillow next to me. She was does this when she wants me to wake up.
"Do you always have to fall on me? I swear you are gonna hurt me one day." I said rubbing her head. I shut my eyes again because I was so exhausted.
"Hurt you one day? You just screamed! Did it not hurt?" She said looking up, still giggling. God I can't get enough of that. I opened my eyes again and threw my head up
"I was sleeping! I had no idea what was happening! It was just a reflex!" I told her. I don't think she believed me due to her face. She gave me a smirk and raised her eyebrow. I mimicked her face.
"Its true sweetie." And I gave her a kiss. I carried her up to our room being careful where I stepped. I pasted Alex's room to make sure her bed was ready for sleeping. It wasn't. I dropped Sara off in our bed and kissed her forehead.
"Ill be back soon baby."
I went to Alex's room and made her bed for her. I flattened out the sheets and straightened out her blanket making it look almost perfect. I started to fluff out her pillows but something fell out of the one and it hit the floor. I picked it up being careful not to break it. I turned it over. It was a picture frame, but there was a family inside the picture. Now Alex has shown me a photo of her family earlier today, and I can't tell you this wasn't her family. There were what looked to me a mom, a dad, one brother, and a little girl. The little girl didn't look like her either. In the picture every one looked... well happy. They were on a beach somewhere and the girls where in sun dresses and the dad and son had bathing shorts on and regular shirts. Everyone matched and looked cute really. A nice happy family.
I decided to put the picture back where I found it because I knew it wasn't mine to touch and Alex could have been walking up the stairs when I still had it in my hand. I went down to the living room to get both of sleeping beauties up. Alex's legs were off the side of the couches her head was resting on a pillow that was on Franks leg. They were both assed the fuck out. But I didn't like what was going on. She may be older then him but that doesn't mean he can just fall in love with anyone. Thats not what a gentleman would do. I can't say much though since my last marriages did not work out. But I just fell in love too quick. I took my time this time and knew my wife now is the one for me.
I woke up Frankie first. "Come on bud, lets go to bed." And shook him a few times. I talked in a storm voice to him which is unlike me. But I had to be a dad and make sure nothing was going on. She's just a visiter for now. No long time shit. Frank went up to bed eventually. Alex had no sign of life to her. So I just picked her up like I did Sara and carried her to her room. I tucked her in and I wished her goodnight, even if she was asleep and shut her lights off and closed her door. I went to my room and got into bed with my love. I was still a little mad from what was going on. Sara could tell.
"Baby? What's wrong?" She said resting her head onto my chest.
"Nothing can happen between Alex and Frank. Not in this house. I saw the way they were talking and the way he looked at her. NOTHING is happening between them. He can't just fall in love with some girl I brought into the house. She's not staying long term anyway so when she goes he can't see her as much and that's a shame for him." I don't think I breathed at all while saying that. I looked at her. She seemed worried to say the least.
"Honey, i don't think it's that important. I really don't think anything is going on between them. I really don't. Why don't we just sleep it off?" She said to me. She rubbed my head to reassure me.
"Alright babe. I love you. Goodnight."
"I love you more. Sweet dreams."
We kissed and we slept.
