A quiet peaceful night turned into a gloomy stormy night. I watched as lightning lit up the sky. I wasn't sure what brought me outside, but as I glanced around my eyes landed on a chariot.

I slowly walked over to it and examined the inside of it. Empty. The rider wasn't anywhere to be seen. I took a step back to examine the outside of the chariot. I realized I have seen this very same chariot when I was in Wessex observing the heathens

I cautiously looked around. 'Where could he be hiding?' I thought to myself as I walked around to the other side of the chariot. I scanned the area and my eyes stopped on a stern pair of blue eyes locked on me from the shadows.

I slowly pulled out my sword as I watched him. His eyes became cold like ice as he too watched my every move. As he began to move closer to me I prepared myself for anything he may try to do.

I stepped back slightly as he came closer. I almost lost all focus when I realized he was crawling along the ground. He pulled an ax from his side and slowly raised it as if to throw it.

Sure enough, he throws it just past my shoulder and there was a thud. I Owly looked behind me to see a man lying on the ground with his ax stuck between his eyes. I quickly looked back at the heathen as he moved to the lifeless man and ripped the ax from his head.

I backed away as his ice cold eyes glared my way. He began crawling towards me and I swung my sword down low to trying to prevent him from coming any closer. He blocked with his ax then grabbed my leg causing me to fall.

As he tried to pin me I placed the blade of my sword at his throat as the blade of his ax was at mine. We glared at each other for a long moment before he knocked the sword away with his free hand and raised the other holding the ax high above me.
