Chapter Two // Baby

A week passed and I'm enjoying hell.

" Hello." I said as I saw Cameron in the halls.

"Hi?" he spat at me. He brushed his hands through his hair. Something about him was pulling me to him, I tried to resist as much as I could.

I was gonna say something, but I couldn't. I was too nervous.

What was I doing. I just met this kid and I'm head over heals.

It was hard to resist the urge of talking to him trough out the days. I knew every time he was gonna have some smart ass remark or a mean comment but I was okay with that.

The way he walked, the way he talked, the way he would be so demanding made me want him.

"Lily!" I heard Sarah scream. I jump up as she attacks me from behind. I saw Cameron grin and it made butterflies flutter inside my stomach.

"Shit," I mumble under my breath. " Hey," I say smiling at her, trying to keep focus on her.

"Come to my house tonight, I'm throwing a party!" She begs. I finally nod and agree.

Wow, my first friend.

When I got home after school, I hurried up to my room. I wanted to look amazing tonight.

I added a bit more makeup and fixed my hair. I changed my clothes. I wore blue booty jean shorts and a white v neck top.

I know it was simple. But It was my favorite outfit.

I got Sarah's address at school and it wasn't far so I decided to walk there. As I got close I could hear the music and hear people. Damn was it loud.

As I walked into her house I saw her. She came running to me.

"Lily!" She jumped up and hugged me. I hugged her back smiling. She took my hand and dragged me down stairs. She pulled me in the corner. With two other people. At first I just saw Matt, and I smiled and waved. Then I turned my head and I saw Cameron.

My heart started to pump fast.

"Hello," he said sternly.

"Um.. H-hi." He grins at my stutter.

"Lily you look quite good if I do say so myself," Matt chimes in. I smile and blush at his comment. I notice Cam giving Matt the death rays.

"Thank you, you look good yourself," he smiles widely.

Sarah came back bringing me a drink.

"What is this?" I ask smelling it.

"It's a surprise." She laughs at me, and I set it on the table not wanting to drink an unknown substance.

"Don't be a baby," Cameron spits out. I turn my head to him, "Drink it." He said demandingly.

I grabbed the cup and took a big gulp of it.

" Damn, it was just sprite." I giggle making Sarah and Matt laugh. Cameron doesn't show any emotion. Figures.

He was so hard to read. He was a book with unfilled pages. A book with missing pages and missing text. He basically had a wall around him. No one could get to him. I haven't seen one person really understand him. Not even Matt.

"Wanna dance?" Sarah asked me. I nodded.

"Let me join!" Matt said standing and smiling.

"Cameron you wanna dance too?" Matt asked softly. Cameron didn't even nod or knowledge him.

Sarah dragged us to the big group of people and started to dance. I started to sway to the beat of the music. Slowly getting into it.

Matt was laughing at my terrible dancing skills. He grabbed my hands and spun me around, swaying me around. I turned my head and saw Cameron. He was starring at me.

No smile. No frown. He had a straight face looking at me. He bit his lower lip watching me dance with Matt. His glaze was so strong, even when I wasn't looking at him I could tell he had his eyes fixed on me.

I continue to dance with Matt. I don't know where Sarah went. She probably met some guy. Right as I thought that I saw Sarah talking to her crush Daniel. Man was he cute.

He had blonde beach hair, bright blue eyes, he was tanned, and his teeth were perfectly white.

I was so happy for her. Finally she got the guts to talk to him.

Matt and I walked over to Cameron grabbing our drinks.

"You suck at dancing." I heard Cameron say.

I wanted to spit my drink in his face.

"Don't say that, she's pretty good." Matt said grabbing my hand pulling me back out.

I finally got the guts as well.

"You're probably worse. You're being a baby, you won't even come out here and dance." I smiled at him and quickly Matt swayed me around.

Cameron grinned at me. He sat up walking out towards us. Cameron took my hand and sparks flew.

He had such a soft grip in my fingers. He locked his fingers with mine. And we swayed to the music. He was perfectly in sync. He pulled me closer to him. Our bodies were up against each other. I looked up to him, and at the time he looked down at me. I wanted to smile but I didn't. He didn't smile either.

He let go of me and passed me to Matt.

"Now next time you call me a baby I'll hurt you Lily." He said laughing walking back to his seat.

What was that.

As I was dancing with Matt I couldn't stop looking at him. He just let me stare at him while he stared at me. Something about him made me want him.

All of me wanted him.
