Melissa comes in from the kitchen with a box of tissues and some water. 'Here' she says and hands it to me. 'Thanks' I reply and take them from her. 'I can't believe this has happened' I wipe the tears away, 'like why me?' I put my head in my hands and sigh. She puts her hand on my back and I sit up. 'Right there is only one solution' she stands up and opens her hand. I put my hand in hers and she leads me to her bedroom. We sit on the bed and she ties her hair up. 'Right' she says plonking herself on the bed. 'I'm gonna ask a few questions to see who you would prefer, and the person you answer with the most is who you'll end up with' 'ummm ok?' I answer.
'Right' she starts. 'Which guy did you see first?' I think for a while.
'In real life?'
'In real life'
'Ok well.. Devan, we were in walmart'
'K, now which guy makes you laugh more?'
'Well collins, he makes me laugh with his jokes. But Devan makes me laugh anyway so...'
'Damn girl, this is hard... you've said both...' she puts her hand on her chin. 'Hmm. I know. 'If you could kiss anyone of them who would it be?' She brings her self closer intrigued by what my answer will be.
'MELISSA!'
'What?'
'I don't know, let me just go home and think about it. I'm so tired'
1 hour later:
I get to my hotel room and decide to check out the places in the hotel so I get in the elevator from floor 12 to the ground floor. On my way down I pull out my phone and start to text my other friend back in California. Her name is Shannon. We talk about the whole "Collins and devan situation" and before I know it the elevator stops at level 8 and the doors open to find me standing face to face with Devan and Collins.
I look to the floor in disbelief WHY?!?
Collins' pulls an awkward smile and Devan plays with a loose thread on his jumper. Me and devan look up at the same time and lock eyes. After about 5 seconds we realise what we are doing and look back at the floor. Then I look at Collins and he looks at me, and then the floor. The lift goes to the lobby and I get out with them. We go separate ways and I text Shannon.
Me: I need to speak to you badly :(
Shannon: I can't talk rn. I'm in a super important place.
Me: ooo, where you at?!
Shannon: turn around.
Me: what??
Shannon: just do it x
I turn around to spot Shannon sitting on one of the sofas. My mouth falls open. I run and hug her. 'Omg I'm so glad your here, i messed up'
'It's ok' she said 'I'm here now, tell me all your problems' we let go and go back up to my hotel room to talk about the current situation with Devan and Collins.
