*3 days later // the day of the wedding*
I pack the last of my belongings that are scattered into a corner of my room into one of my few bags. I take one last look at my empty dorm to make sure that I haven't forgot anything and I then pick up my bags and walk out of my dorm, letting the door shut by itself behind me as my hands were too full to shut it myself.
Shannons POV:
I wake to the sound of my alarm. I realise what day it is. I have to face my bestfriend who I left in London after seeing her kiss another guy. And her mother is marrying my father! I pull the warm duvet away from my body and sit up. I run my eyes and walk to the bathroom.Devans POV:
I wake to the sun beaming through a gap in my curtains. It shon onto my mirror and into my face. I turn to try and get the sun out of my face, but I decide to just get up. I roll over and pick up my phone from the side of my desk. I turn it on and check the time, 8:45am. I look down at the date, 19th of September, this date sounds familiar. I think for a while before realising, today is the day of the wedding! I quickly hop out of bed and downstairs to grab some breakfast.*AFTER LAUREN HAS ARRIVED IN CALIFORNIA *
*Laurens POV*I make my way through the crowds of rushing people and suitcases and through the automatic doors of the airport. i am instantly hit by a wave of hot air. 'i am not in London anymore, that's for sure' i chuckle to myself as i wait for my mum to pick me up.
i arrive home after a short drive to a house full of chaos. dresses everywhere, makeup brushes and products scattered across the dining room table, hair curlers and straighteners lay on the side and people running wild. it was like a zoo. my mum had already started having her hair done but it was paused so she could get me from the airport. she sits back in the chair and the hair stylist continues placing bobby pins and hairspray to her long brown hair. i notice Shannon from across the room, she was on the couch on her phone. she didn't even realise that i had arrived. i hadn't spoken to her since the incident in London. i make my way over to her.
i take a seat on the couch next to the one she was sitting on. she looked up from her phone. i gave her a smile, but she looked back at her phone. 'Shannon' i start, but she interrupts, 'i'm not interested if you are trying to change my mind, Lauren. we all saw what we saw and you cant change it by making up a story to make us believe something different' she says, not removing her eyes from her phone. 'well you don't have to believe, you just have to listen'. i start. she looks up from her phone and locks it. she drops it onto the couch and crosses her legs, making herself comfortable, already knowing that this will be a long story. 'go on' she says, and i begin my story.
after i finish the story i sit back. Shannon sits there in silence, shocked. 'Lauren.. if i knew i wouldn't have blamed you. im so sorry.' she pulls me into a hug. im glad to have my best friend back. i hated fighting with her so im happy that she has forgiven me. 'Shannon?' i say. she pulls away, 'yeah?' i look down at the couch and then back at her. 'how are we going to get Collins and Devan to realise that what they think happened didn't really happen?' she thinks for a minute until she replies 'we need to tell them at the wedding'
