Chapter Two

I sat in a cell next to stingray glaring at him slightly.

The more I was here the more I hated every second of it.
Sure, it was still better than having to listen to my annoying ass mother.

But I had no cell phone connection, not that they let me use it anyways, disgusting food, a shitty ass bed, and the worst part of it all was that I had to be stuck with stingray for the rest of my time being here.

We shared a damn cell together.

"You're the whole reason I'm in this mess. I try to be nice to one person and help them out." I bickered as he rolled his eyes.

"Oh get over it. Just be quiet," he said reading a magazine on the top bunk, on the opposite wall from mine.
Mine was on the ground and right next to the cell door.

I groaned annoyed as I looked away from him and laid my head down on my pillow.
It was pitch black in the halls, the only light in our room was the moonlight coming in through the barred up window.

"What time is it?" I mumbled as he looked at the clock on the wall.

"Two in the morning." He said unamused.

"Ughh.. I can't sleep." I mumbled as I heard somebody bang on their cell door.
"Shut the hell up! You're waking me up!" I heard a man say as I glared.

"Fuck off!" I yelled back. "Fat fuck." I mumbled rolling my eyes.

"Anyways." Stingray said rolling his eyes back, as I sighed.

"Go to sleep!!" I heard the security guard Alice yell loudly as she banged on the cell doors with her baton.

She walked away as I threw my shoe at stingray causing him to glare in my direction with a flinch.
"Ow! What the hell." He said as I shrugged.

"Im fuckin bored, and can't sleep." I said simply as he raised a brow setting down the magazine which I could only hope was for sports.
"So you hit me with your shoe?" He asked as I hummed in response.

"Mhm!" I said as he groaned.
"I can already tell I'm gonna hate you." He said as I giggled.

"Nahh, you'll love me." I said with a simple shrug and a small smile.

"Yeah, I don't think so." He shook his head and turned on his side after throwing the show back at me and threw the magazine onto the floor lightly.

"Now go to sleep." He grumbled at me as I sighed and nodded.
Surprisingly I did as I was told to do, and laid on my side and tried to close my eyes and go to sleep.

It took a little while but I eventually passed out.
And it was the shittiest sleep I've ever gotten too.

"Wake up." I heard somebody said as I felt my shoulder being shook lightly.
"Mmhhn." I mumbled no as I turned away and buried my face into my arms.

"You're gonna miss breakfast if you don't wake up." I heard stingrays voice as I yawned and groaned tiredly as I sat up and rubbed my eyes tiredly.

I glanced at the time on the wall as I glared at him.
"It's six in the morning.. Bruh what the fuck!" I yelled at him as he put his hands up in defense.
"It's breakfast time! Jesus, I was just tryna be nice so you don't skip it on your first day." He glared rolling his eyes at me.

"Ok ok I'm sorry." I mumbled as I sat up tiredly and saw that our cell door was unlocked.

"Come on, let's go." He said as I nodded and fell onto the floor harshly as I groaned in pain.

"Ughhh.. Does life just keep getting worse?" I asked as he stood over me looking down unamused as I looked up to his face.

"Yep." He crossed his arms down at me as I sighed and stood up as he pushed me out of the cell with his hand on my back guiding me down the hall.

A few men grabbed at me through their cell doors but stingray smacked them away; he even punched a few people.

"Heh, I guess I'm popular huh?" I smirked as he shrugged a shoulder.

"Don't get too narcissistic now." He said as I giggled a bit.

"Okay I'm gonna introduce to a few people." He said with a small grin as I nodded, I felt his hand on my back still guiding me to the cafeteria he lead me over to a table.

"Gentlemen! This is Sydney." Stingray said as I waved.

"Hey." I said awkwardly as I sat down.

"That's Jean and Paul.. Uh ash, and Nicky." Stingray shrugged.

"Who's this? Your girlfriend or something?" Nicky asked as I laughed.

"Hardly! I saved his ass running from the cops!" I said raising a brow to stingray with crossed arms.
"Well, we ended up getting caught by jailbot but still." I shrugged a shoulder.

"Huh. Well come on, sit and tell us how you met." Nicky said as I did as told again and sat next to stingray.

"That was pretty much how we met. After I ran away, He literally ran into me while running, then I helped him hide and yeah." I said as they nodded.

"Cool." Nicky said a little oddly.
He looked like he was trying to study me or something.

"You look soo pretty," Paul said as I smiled.
"Thank you so much." I laughed a bit.

"What makeup are you wearing??" He asked as I laughed. "I'm not wearing any. I just woke up." I laughed a bit harder.
"Jesus." Jean said as I smiled.

"So how old are you?" Nicky asked curiously.

"Uhm.. Eighteen.." I mumbled as they all choked on their drinks.
"Seriously?!" They all said including stingray.

I looked at them a bit confused. "Uh, yeah." I said.

"I'm surprised the old warden here would even let you in here." Nicky said with a faint smirk.

"Yeah.. Heheh." I said looking around a bit.
"So why'd you leave?" Paul asked as I shrugged.

"I was sick of my fucking retarded ass mother, and left while half drunk in the process." I said annoyed.
"I was sick and tired of her and her bullshit and her stupid fuck head boyfriend." I shook my head rolling my eyes.

"Well at least you got what you wanted." Nicky shrugged as I nodded.
"This place sucks too, but hey, it's better than being there that's for sure." I said.

"Yo kid you wanna be in our group?" Nicky suddenly asked as I raised a brow.

"Wait really?" I asked as he nodded surely.
"Yeah. You seem smart.. I can tell." He said as I glanced at stingray who looked a bit confused at Nicky.

"Well uh, yeah sure I guess so." I said shrugging a shoulder at them.
"Alright cool." Nicky said in a calm tone.

"You're gonna meet us out in the courtyard in an hour after breakfast is over. Have stingray here take you and show you where it is." He smirked faintly.

I got a slightly bad feeling about this, but it's whatever.

"Alright bet."
