I grabbed an apple out of the fruit basket we kept on the counter as decorative centerpiece.
"Bye mom, bye Logan . Love you," I hollerd from the front door as I opend it. I stepped out and let it swing shut behind me. I inhaled the crisp morning air the let it out in a huff. Today's gonna be. . . Not bad, but. . . Different. I have detention. For the very first time.
Geez. I thought as I buckled my self in, starting my car. I pulled out of the driveway and drove my way to Kayla's house.
The scilence in the car was inturupted by me putting in one of my CD's. I turned the volume up and let the first song on my Three Days Grace : One-x album.
I pulled up to Kayla's one story house and honked. She came out of the house alone and got in the passenger seat. "Where's Lilith?" I asked, speaking my mind and putting the car into drive.
"She got a ride a from one of her Junior guy friends," she informed me as she buckled herself in. "Ooh, who was it this time?" I asked, intrigued. She smirked at me. "Will, the hot biker."
"No way! And I missed him? Dang it," I cursed. He was so good looking it was unbelievable. He owned a pitch black Harley, and was the sweetest boy in the world. You can't help to wish all boys were like that.
Last year when we first met him, it was at Lilith's birthday party. She was turning seventeen. We were all sitting in the living room just joking around and watching a movie, when the door bell rang. Her dad got up to answer it. When Will walked in in all his leather jacket glory, freshman me almost fainted. He said 'hi' to Lilith and gave her his gift. He was a little shy,but he introduced himself to us as well as he could. He blushed alot when all of our attention was on him. Eventually we all got comfortable, Kayla, always the one to ask questions with little to no shame, asked if we could play with his hair and he was just great. But he was a little quiet for my liking. He was still hot though, no doubt about it.
After April and Branson got in the car Branson was the first to ask about Lilith's whereabouts. "She got a ride from Will. " I simply stated to see if April would catch on. And indeed she did. "The hot, but sweet biker?" She asked excited. "Mhm," Kayka and I hummed, smirking. "Darn it! I missed him."
"Nah. You didn't miss him. We didnt get to see him either,"I reassured.
"Well, you didn't. I did." Kayla corrected, rubbing it in our faces. I rolled my eyes, but ignored her comment. There was a split second of silence, until a voice from the back seat jeared at my CD choice. "I don't like this music, can you turn it off ? Screaming doesn't appeal to me," April said, face scrunched in distaste. I narrowed my eyes. How many times do I have to - this isn't screaming music. Do you want to hear screaming music? I can give you screaming music. I have an Disturbed album.
"Fine let's have a vote. Majority wins," I sighed, annoyed with her whining.
"All in favor of dealing with my music choice say 'Aye'."
I heard two people mutter their consents. I smirked. "All in protest say 'Nay'."
An irritated 'Nay' came from an unhappy April."Well, seems like the majority says yes. Sorry Apes, you've been overruled."
She groand. "Can you stop calling me that? It makes me sound like a gorilla, and I ain't all about that."
"I don't know," I said, pretending to think it over. Then I said 'Ah' like I had come up with a brilliant idea. I smiled devilishly. "How about. . . A vote? Majority wins?"
I didn't even give her a chance to respond. "All in favor of keeping April's nickname, just because it annoys her say 'Aye' all in favor of not keeping the nickname, say 'Nay'. "
