All we need

Ducking I dodged another punch. I got in a crouch and kicked at my opponents legs.

Ready for the attack, Kayla jumped out of the way, but she wasn't ready or steady enough to move out of the way for my next move.
Still on the floor, I swept my other leg. She tripped and landed on her back.

"Oomph."

As soon as she made contact with the floor I was on top of her, my fist raised,  ready to knock her lights out, but of course I didn't. It was just training.

"Gotcha," I breathed out, smirking.

Kayla closed her green eyes. At first I thought that she was excepting defeat, but then her eyes snapped open and the next thing I knew,  my back was on the mat and I had somthing heavy sitting on my stomach.

"Gotcha," she said with a hint of smugness. My eyes were wide and the room was spinning a little. The tables had been turned.

She pouted. "Awe what's the matter Jess? What happened?  I thought you had me." She smiled and her eyes glimmered with smugness.

I narrowed my eyes. Alright you wanna play that game, huh? Then let's play.

I sighed and relaxed , " Alright you got me." She chuckeld "Aint that the truth." She mumbled on her way to get up. I smirked and brought my legs up behind her.  I kneed her in her butt and she fell over/behind me with a squeak.

As soon as she was off of me I got up and into a fighting stance. I watched her stand with a groan.

"You little Turd," She hissed.I rolled my eyes "Last time I checked I was older than you. So it's big Turd, you little Turd," I paused. "Wait, no that doesn't sound right."

She chocked on a laugh immediately replacing it with an icy glare. Me being the oh so infuriating person I am, returned it with a sarcasticly sweet smile. It had its desired effect and she growled then lunged at me. I side stepped then turned toward her, bouncing on my toes.

We weren't wearing shoes nor were we wearing gi either. A gi was mostly worn in karate ,jiu-jitsu ,or Marshall arts, but we weren't wearing those. We didn't wear belts because we saw no need for them.It was easier to just wear exercise clothes while training.

I was wearing a black Nike shirt that said 'Just do it' and some leggings. My medium length curly dark brown almost black hair was up in a bun. I rarely wore my hair down as I liked updos. I hated and loved my hair. I hated how it always got tangled and puffed out into a frizzy mess, but at the same time it was unique, like me.

Kayla always wore her medium length dirty blonde hair down except for when she was fighting or working out, her hair split down the middle with two strands framing her fair face. She was wearing a light purple sports bra that let everyone see her toned stomach, and bright neon orange leggings with a neon blue Nike swish at the ankels.

She liked bright colors. Alot.

I liked dark colors. . . Alot.

We were walking in a circle waiting for the other to advance. Taunting each other with our eyes, seeing who would make the fist move.

"Girls come on and finish up, Sophia's making lunch. " Aunt Heather said from the benches on the other side of the gym. She was helping her daughter,  April, finish her stretching.

Aunt Heather and April looked alike in many ways, with their short blonde locks that went to their jawlines, tiny noses, and blue eyes that could make the ocean envious. But April had more of her dad's facial features and height. She was at least two to three inches taller then Heather. April's dad and April have the same eye and face shape. April also has black geeky/hipstery glasses, that she loves to hide her pretty, pale face behind. April and Kayla are the same age while I am a year older.

The gym was a square room that was a little over 80 yards on all sides. It contained some weight lifting materials, weaponry, gymnast equipment, and the sparing area that we called 'The Mat'. We call it that because well, it's a mat.

With out me you would have never guessed.

"Okay, we'll be there after I kick her a- I mean butt. After I kick her butt." Kayla corrected herself after she received the look from Heather. You know the look? The look that promises pain and punishment if you cross the line? That can make a grown man fall to his knees and beg for forgiveness?

Yeah that's the one. The 'Mom' look.

I smirked at Kayla's sheepish smile and red tinted cheeks. Using the distraction to my advantage I, once again swept her legs out from under her makeing her fall, once again, on her back. "Or now." I said with a little shrug.

She wheezed as her back hit the ground, knocking the air out of her.  I got down into a crouch beside her. "What happend to kicking my butt, Lyn?"

"Frick you, Johnson. Frick," She gasps."You."

I giggled, stood up, then pivoted on my feet to face the benches. April was chuckling and shaking her head at our friends silly defeat. Heather just rolled her eyes, shook her head and quipped , "That's what you get for not paying attention." I picked up my water bottle and chugged half of it. Training for - I looked at the clock and almost chocked. Four Hours!? We just got in here an hour ago!

Guess time flies when you're busy winning and taunting. I live such a hard life, I deserve a break - oh wait! This is my break. I just don't have to train while also doing my studies.

It was summer vacation so we didn't have to go to school, thank gosh. Our parents are fully aware that they could home school us but they want us to have semi-normal lives. Have some normal teenage experiences. Don't get me wrong being in a spy has its perks and experiences, but it's not exactly "normal", hence the semi-normal teenage life. But sadly we only had a few weeks until summer break was over.

During the school year we live in the same city and in the same school district. We train twice a week at Aprils house. She has the biggest house out of all of us. It was two stories and had a giant room in the back that was used as our gym and training room. We also go to the same highschool wich is good and we are inseparable.

In the hall ways?

Together.

At lunch?

Together.

After school?

Together.

Some classes (if we're lucky)?

Together.

We are conjoined at the hip and we wouldn't want it any other way. We are the next generation Eternal Triangle and we will stick together. Through thick and thin. War zones, chipped nails, boy drama, and school.

We are one and we work alone. We are all we need.
