Link heard a noise from where he was... all of a sudden, a giant eyeball popped out of the tree! It scared Link half to death.

Mido angrily wandered ahead, and got caught in a web. "Hey! C'mon out here, you monst- Aghmmph! What's all this goo?" Mido's fairy shushed him.
"Shh! I hear something..." KRUNCH, KRUNCH, CHOMP, CHOMP, CHOMP "The stone... where's the stone..." ...The queen Gohma was latched up against the wall.
"Is it eating the Great Deku Tree...?" The Gohma turned and glared both at Link and Mido, and started walking toward them.
"Shall I take a bite out of you two, as well?"
