"Come forth, my shadow... Phantom Ganon!" A replica of Ganondorf appeared. "The Hero of Time is approaching the Forest Temple. Get there first, before he can awaken the Sage of Forest... and strike him down!" The phantom rode away on the dark horse, heading for the forest.
Link swung his sword, aiming at some rocks. "Keep it up, Link! Faster!" Navi, as his mentor for now, shouted commands as Link practiced. Link picked up speed, and did his final blow on the rock. It stung. "No, no! Too many openings!" Link looked up at Navi. "Be quiet, Navi! How can I concentrate?!" Navi flapped her wings rapidly. "What? I'm just trying to help! If you don't learn to use the Master Sword, you won't even be able to fight Ganondorf's minions."
Link stood up. "Don't worry. I've got a killer move." Link charged up his weapon. "SPIN ATTACK!!" The trees smoked as they were left with nothing but the trunks. "How about that for massive destruction?" Navi looked around, as bugs surrounded Link. "Uh, Link? The bugs want to know if you plan to cut down all the grass in Hyrule."
So Link headed off to the Forest Temple.
"The whole forest is awfully humid! I wonder if Ganondorf's evil extends here, too." Link wiped sweat off of him. "The Sage Rauru said I have to break the curses on five temples and wake up the sage sealed in each one. If I combine my power with that of the five sages, we can beat Ganondorf's sorcery!"
"Link, look!" Link looked at Navi, and what she saw. It was the Kokiri Forest!
"It's the Kokiri Forest! We must be getting close. Let's drop on before we go to the Forest Temple." Link walked through. "This sure brings back memories. Helllooo! That's strange. It's so quiet." The grass rustled as Link walked through.

"Deku Babas!" Link swung his sword at them. "No! Here, too?" Link looked behind him as he heard someone yell. He destroyed the monster before it got to the other person. Link looked at them.
"Are you okay?" Link's eyes widened as he saw who it was.

Link smiled, but stood there. Thoughts raced through his mind. 'M... Mido. You're Mido, right? All we ever did was fight and get scolded by the Great Deku Tree. That scowling face of his hasn't changed. Wait! Why is he still a kid?' Link opened his mouth. "Mi--" Mido rudely interrupted him.
