I do as I'm told and put on Peter's favorite pair of my shorts and a tank top that I know will keep me cool. My weather app says it will be around 93 degrees today, and I don't want to be sweaty on our date he has planned for us.

I feel a warm hand on my shoulder. "Yes. I'm so glad you remembered," Peter smirks looking at my shorts. "I'm actually surprised you've kept up with them this long."

"That is very true," I laugh. "You need to get dressed. Is there any certain time we are supposed to be anywhere? Because it is already 10:30."

"Listen, love; I have today under control. You mustn't worry."

"Yes sir."

He leads me down to the elevator and the garage after he locks the apartment door and leaves food and water out for Micco. We step inside the car and put the air on full blast.  Such a beautiful day. I'm a happy woman.

"Gwen? Baby. We're here. Wake up, honey."

"Did I really fall asleep?"

"I think you were out exactly three seconds after you buckled your seatbelt," Peter smiles. "I've been singing to you. And you missed it."

Any time Peter and I are together, he sings. But, only so low that I can't hear him.  I've heard him sing in the shower when he didn't know I could hear him and it's like heaven. Something you'd never expect out of the Spider-Man. Which is, I suppose, why he doesn't think he can. It must put dirt on his ego. I don't know. But I made the mistake of bringing it to attention that he can sing and now he won't let me hear his beautiful voice.  Just to irritate me.

So, when Peter says he was he was singing, I absolutely hate myself for falling asleep.

He must notice my frown. "I might sing to you on the way home," he says to assure me and places a kiss on my forehead.

"Peter, I feel like we're living a fairytale."

"It must be true. I mean, you are my princess."

"Peter Benjamin Parker. That is the cheesiest thing you have ever said."

Peter rolls his eyes. "Bite me."

"Don't think I won't," I say and bite his neck.

"No, no, no ma'am. Not right now. I'm taking you on a hike right now. That can wait," Peter laughs and unbuckles his belt to get out of the car. "Wow, I love you," he whispers as he gets out of the car.

"Wow, I love you more," I whisper loudly across the top of the car.

"I didn't think that you heard me."

"I hear everything."

"Hi, you guys! My name is Kai. I'm in charge today. Here's a map if you need it," a stud that walks up to us, tan as Texas Toast and muscles shining in the sun. Peter would kill me if he could read my thoughts. Peter! Think about Peter. Not this hunky guy standing in front of me and Peter.

"Gwen? Are you ready to hike?" Peter breaks me from daydreaming.

"Yeah, sorry."

"You spaced out on me."

"Yeah I guess I did. I'm sorry."

"This little mountain is sort of steep so watch out for sticks that might catch in your Chaco's, and keep your water bottle filled at every checkpoint.  Let me carry the backpack. I don't want it to hurt your shoulders."

"Thanks love."

"You're welcome honey. Now let's get this show on the road."
