Sapphire Sydnee skateboarded to Starbucks and got her favourite drink.

She sang on the streets ignoring the dirty looks she recieved from some patrons.

Now , she's skateboarding home.

Chapter 4 - Explain

" I'm sorry , okay ? I just think that it's time to tell her the truth ! "

" Really ? Right after her 18th Birthday ?! "

Wow.

If it's not for my mum's text begging me to come home , I won't be standing here right now.

It has been 5 hrs since I left the house and mum was actually in America when she called about dad coming home early.

I took a deep breath and turn the doorknob.

Once my feet touched the house's tile , all eyes were on me.

" What is it ? " I asked as if nothing happened.

" I'm tired . If you two want to bicker , i'm going up . " I said and started walking.

" Sapph , Sit . " my mum ordered and I did as told.

" So , what is it ? " I asked again .

" I'm sure you already know that Belinda is your 2nd mother , right ? " Mum asked and I nod.

" Mum , Dad . Can I say a piece of my mind ? " I asked .

They looked at each other before responding.

" Sure , "

I stood up and faced my Dad.

" Dad , I want to thank you for what you have done for this family. I am really grateful. I want you to know that I will always love you no matter what

you did and will do in the future. But just know that I won't forgive you for this. "

Next , I faced my mum.

" Mum , I love you and always will.No one could ever replace you, no one.I admire you for being strong enough to tolerate Dad's bullshit. You deserve someone better , "

Then , I faced Belinda.

" Belinda , you are not my mum and never will be. Do you ever think that if my Dad could leave my mum for you , he could also leave you for someone better ? Do you really think my Dad won't repeat the same mistake ? Don't get fooled by love , Belinda. "

Now , I feel sastified.

" If you will excuse me , I have some reading to do. " I kissed my mum's cheek and jogged up to my room.

Do you really think that I am going to breakdown when my dad told me that Belinda is my 2nd mum ?

Sorry to dissapoint you but I don't cry.

I locked my bedroom door and took out my favourite book - Divergent.

It's a really good book.

I'm halfway done reading it when my phone rings.

" Hello ? " I said into the phone.

" Sapph ? "

" This is she . " I answered.

" It's me , Kate. Meet me at the cafe downtown ? " she asked .

" Alright , see you. "

Kate is my best friend.

We do stupid and foolish stuff together.

One thing that I love about her is that she don't question my sarcasm.

The two of us are not like any other ordinary best friend(s).

We are a weird pair.

We don't gossip , judge , do sleepovers or mani-pedi(s) like other best friend(s).

We find all those stuff boring.

Instead , we find fault with others and tease people but we don't hurt them but to those who find it hurtful , #sorrynotsorry !

I threw my book across the room and tied my hair into a bun.

I put on a pair of hoop earrings and changed my Vans to Converse.

I took my car keys and head downstairs.

" Mum , i'm meeting Kate

downtown. " I told my mum .

I'm completely ignoring my dad and Belinda.

They don't exist in my world.

" Alright , be careful love. " she said and I nod.

I closed the main door and walked to the garage.

I unlock my Maserati Alfieri and got inside.

I started the engine and turned on the radio.

Once I put on my seatbelt , I started driving and a really nice song came on.

*Ring*Ring*

Okay , my phone have to stop ringing.

" What ? " I asked bluntly.

" Sapphire ? It's me , Kennan. "

Umm , did I heard what I heard correctly ?

" K-Kennan Blue ? How did you get my number ? " I asked and I could her him shrugging.

" Look , are you free right now ? "

" I'm not free until 2hrs later . " I said and he groaned.

" Okay , okay. Meet me at the new Italian' restaurant near school 2hrs from now , " he said and hang up , not giving me a chance to answer.

I sighed and put down my phone.

One more turn and I have reached.

I switched off the engine , locked the door and entered the cafe.

I was greeted with people's voices and the coffee's aroma .

I breathe in the aroma and find Kate sitting near the window.

" Hey Kate , " I greeted and sat across her.

" What's up ? "

" I have another mum , " I sighed and she gasped.

" What ? Your dad cheated on your mum ?! " she whispered/yelled and I shrugged.

" Let's not talk about this , " I said and she nod.

"Wanna do something new ? " she asked and I eyed her suspiciously.

" Like what ? " I asked back .

" Wanna have a tattoo ? "

" Are you for real ?! " I asked and she nod.

" For real. " she smirked and I smiled .

" Let's go. "
