Chapter 9 - Step.

" Thanks Aunt Beatrice ! See you

soon , " I yelled as I got into the

car.

I waved to her for the final time before mum drove the car out from the parking lot.

" So , did you two have a great time ? " she asked and I nod.

" Do you think I can order pizza tonight ? Kate's coming over , " I said.

" Sure. I have to fly to London at 2am today and I won't be back until next week on Tuesday so you better

behave , " she warned and I smirked evilly.

She shook her head chuckling and focused on the road.

It's 6 in the evening and the clouds are grey.

*Ring*Ring*

" Hello ? " I said into the phone.

" Sapphire ? It's me Kennan. Do you think you can meet me in the school backyard tomorrow after school ? " he asked.

" Uh. Yea .. " I answered and I swear he cheered .

" Great. See you ! "

I ended the call and noticed my mum looking at me.

" What ? " I asked and she shrugged.

I leaned my head against the window and shut my eyes tight.

" Sapphire ? Wake up , "

I rubbed my bleary eyes and realised that we have reached.

I got out from the car and make my way into the house.

" What the Fuck. "

The house was a mess !

I know I make messes too but at least I cleaned them up !

The floor is full of toys and the my magazines were a complete mess !

" Who is the smartass who did this ?! " I yelled .

Belinda and Dad came into sight and I stared them down.

Mum came running in and gasped at the mess.

" Who made a mess of my mags ? " I asked with my fists clenched.

" I'm so sorry Sapphire , " Belinda apologised and I scoffed.

The cries of a baby could be heard upstairs and I raised my right eyebrow.

" Wow. That is fast , "

I shook my head with pure disgust and piled up my magazines before bringing them up to my room.

I locked my bedroom's door and throw myself onto the bed.

I logged into my Macbook and went straight to Youtube.

I checked my Channel and saw that my latest video has reached 2.6K views.

Wait , whaaat ?

2.6K Views ?!

That. Is. Sick.

" OMG !! MUM ! MY VIDEO HAS REACHED 2.6K views ! " I yelled all the way down to the kitchen.

" What ? Oh my God ! Sapphire , I'm really proud of you ! " she exclaimed and we both jumped up and down while squealing.

Oh , right.

One more thing you should know about me is that I upload videos on Youtube and quite a lot of people recognised me but I am still a Misfit.

" I better upload a video of me thanking my subscribers , " I told my mum and she agreed.

I excused myself and went up.

After locking the door , I got my laptop and set my camera up.

" Hi Subcribers ! I just want to thank all of you for a 2.6K views ! It's SICK ! You guys are seriously beyond awesome ! Next cover will be uploaded tomorrow after school and don't forget to ask your friends to subscribe and check my videos ! Signing off , Misfit."

I off the camera and uploaded the video.

I scrolled through the comments and smiled to myself.

People are loving me and it's rare for a Misfit. to feel this way.

Maybe , I am not really a Misfit

afterall.

Maybe I chose to be like that just because a foolish guy broke my heart.

*Beep*Beep*

Kate Xx - Hey :) Will be dropping by earlier !

I smiled and make my way lazily to the bathroom.

I washed my face and put on a new

t-shirt.

I tied my hair into a ponytail and head downstairs.

When I got down , I saw Dad playing with a toddler ..

Wait.

What ?!

" Who is that ? " I asked and my dad looked up to face me while smiling.

" He's your baby-brother , " he answered while grinning.

" Step. " I corrected him and walked over to the tv.

I switched it on and changed it to the News channel.

" Sapphire , turn the volume down , " my dad said and I ignored him.

I heard him sigh and brought the toddler up.

Soon , the doorbell was heard and I got up on my feet at once.

" Kaaaaate ! " I exclaimed and she pulle me into a hug.

" Where's your mother ? I miss her so much ! " she said and I nod.

" She's in her bedroom. Come on , "

I took her hand and we entered my mum's room.

" Kate ? Oh my god ! " my mum grinned and they hugged.

" Here , mum sent you this , " Kate handed my mum a somekind of packaging and a wide smile escaped her lips.

" Tell your mum that I appreciate it so much , " she said and Kate nod.

" Mum , we'll be in my room if you need anything , " I said and she smiled.

I kissed her right cheek and we left for my room.

" Movie and Ice-Cream ? " Kate asked .

" Yea. You go select the movie while I take the Ice-Cream out , " I head downstairs again and grabbed a couple of Ben And Jerry's tub(s) and went back up.

I locked the door and switched the lights off before climbing up to my bed.

" What movie are we watching ? " I asked.

" The Breakfast Club "
