Chapter 6 - Strange ?

" So , you have finished every single strand of the spaggethi . Will you show me the evidence ? " Kennan asked trying to keep his calm.

" Yea , yea. " I muttered and took out my Iphone.

I went to my Photo Album and showed him the picture of his "Girlfriend" eating up another guy's face.

He scrunched his nose in disgust but his eyes showed hurt.

" You okay ? "

Wait , did I just seriously ask him that ?

He shook his head and gave me my phone back.

" Thanks and yea , we're strangers. "

I watch him as he slowly make his way out of the door and got into his Audi.

I'm not supposed to feel bad but for some reason , I just do.

" Mum ? I'm home ! "

The house was pitched black when I got home.

I threw my bag onto the couch and suddenly , I felt a pair of hands covering my eyes.

" Who are you ?! " I yelled but the person just kept quiet.

" Answer me before - "

" Happy Birthday to you , Happy Birthday to Sapphire , Happy Birthday to you . "

The pair of hands uncovered my eyes and the lights were switched back on.

" Oh my god. Mum , thank you so

much. " I said and she pulled me into a hug.

" Happy belated 18th Birhday , Sapphire. " my mum whispered as we break from the hug and I kissed her cheeks.

" Happy Belated Sapphire , " Belinda wished and I just simply nod.

Dad wanted to hug but I refused.

" Umm , Sapph ? Why don't you go wash-up and then we can cut the

cake .. " Mum suggested .

" Ya , sure. Be down in 5 , " I said and walked up to my room.

I entered the bathroom and washed my face before brushing my teeth.

I put on my PJs and undo my hair bun.

My tattoo is alright now and it looks beyond awesome.

I took my phone , snap a picture of it and sent it to Kate.

My tattoo is drawn near my waist but a little bit higher.

Catniss did an awesome job.

I charged my phone and head downstairs.

I could smell the delicious aroma of white sauce spaggethi and I literally moaned.

My mother is the best cook you could ever want !

I saw Belinda occupying my seat and I cleared my throat.

" Belinda , I believe that is my seat . " I said and she looked at my dad.

" So , move. " I said rudely .

She hesitated at first but moved , eventually.

My mum served us the food and everyone was seated.

I was sitting beside my mum and those two people who disgust me sat across us.

I helped myself to everything and moaned each time food enters my mouth.

*Ding Dong*Ding Dong*

" I'll go get it - "

" No , it's okay. " my mum stopped Belinda and I rolled my eyes.

" Sapph , please . " my mum said politely and I gave her a small smile.

I walked to the door and opened it.

" Kennan ?! " I whispered/yelled.

" Yes , it's me .. " he whispered back.

" What are - "

" Baby , who is it ? " my mum cut me off and I shrugged.

" A friend . " I said .

" A friend ? This is your friend ? " my mum asked once she saw Kennan.

" Hi Aunty. I'm Kennan , " he offered his hand and my mum shook it .

" I didn't know that - "

" Um , Ma . I think he needs something. I'll be back in a few , " I told her quickly and pulled Kennan's arm.

My mum looked at us suspiciously but soon dismissed it and closed the door.

" What do you want ? I thought we agreed to - "

" Shut up about your deal ! " he yelled and I stared at him.

" Look , I'm sorry 'kay ? I didn't mean to .. I'm just , i'm just bummed up. "

" What happened ? " I asked suddenly concerned.

" I confronted her and we broke up . " he explained.

" Kennan , i'm so sorry .. " I said and he shook his head.

" It's not even your fault . " he smiled and I did the same.

" So , I guess .. I better get going. " he said and I nod.
