Last Time On Misfit -

Sapphire met up with Kate in the cafe downtown and Kate suggested that they should go get tattoos.

Chapter 5 - Tattoos

" I know a place , a good one. " Kate said and I nod.

" Have you think of a design ? " I asked and she shrugged.

" I was thinking of a rebel type of tattoo , " she answered.

" That will suit you Kate , " I said and she agreed.

We got into my car and I started driving.

" Just drive straight and then turn to your right after that junction , " Kate gave me directions.

It took us not more than 10 minutes to reach the tattoo parlour.

" Wow , Kate. "

Kate looked at me and winked.

" Come on. " she pulled me towards the entrance and I took a deep breath.

How did we even become best friends ?

" Hey Kate ! " a enthusiastic looking lady greeted her and she smiled.

" Hey Catniss , "

" Who's this ? " the lady looked at me and asked .

" This. Is my best friend - Sapphire Sydnee , " Kate introduced me.

" Sapphire ? That's a very nice name , " she complimented.

She point to two empty long chairs and told us to sit.

" So , who's first ? "

Kate looked at me and I looked at her.

" You suggested it , you go first. " I told her and she frowned at me.

Kate told Catniss how she wants her tattoo to look like and the lady drew an outline of the design.

Catniss started poking the ink under Kate's skin with the needle and ouch !

Kate winced a few times but managed to keep calm.

~ A few minutes later ~

" Alright , Kate. Press the cotton ball against the tattoo-ed area until I tell you to stop . " Catniss said and Kate nod.

It's my turn.

I took a deep breath and took over Kate's seat.

" What will your design be ? " she asked and I smiled.

I showed her the design that I had created while waiting for Kate and she smiled.

" It's perfect " she whispered .

She started the whole process over again and I closed my eyes.

I imagined that i'm somewhere calm instead of this tattoo parlour and I think it worked because when I opened my eyes , my tattoo is done.

" Thanks Catniss " I said and Kate paid her .

We thanked her again and left.

" Do you have any plans ? " Kate asked and I nod.

" Yea . I need to meet someone . I'll send you home first though , " I said .

Kate live near school so I reached the Italian' restaurant early .

I entered and the smell of pasta overwhelmed me.

Oh god , I am hungry.

I took an empty table and a waitress came over.

" Hi , my name is Katy and I'll be taking your order(s) for today . "

I gave her a warm smile and look through the menu.

" A plate of your homemade spaggethi and a cup of Ice Tea please , " I ordered and she nod.

" Your order will be arriving in 10 minutes , "

The waitress left and I took out my phone.

2 Missed calls

10 texts messages

5 voicemails

Seriously ?

I delete them without bothering to check them and looked around the restaurant.

It was a small but cozy restaurant and the walls have cute posters pasted on them.

" Hey. "

I looked up and saw Kennan Blue.

" Hey. " I greeted back and he sat down.

" I thought you don't want to be seen with me ? " I said .

" I never said that , "

I shrugged and saw my spaggethi coming.

" Here's your spaggethi , " the same waitress said and I thanked her.

Kennan looked at me and I shrugged again.

" I'm hungry " I defended and he scoffed.

" Whatever. I just need your help ,

Ok ? "

I stared at him and he looked at me uncomfortably.

" Why do you - The star quarterback needs help from me - The school's Misfit ? " I asked him suspiciously .

" Someone said my girlfriend cheated on me ! " he yelled/whispered and I raised my right eyebrow.

" No shit sherlock did that obnoxious blonde cheat on you , " I said quietly .

I was half hoping that he would hear that and half hoping he won't .

" What did you just say ? " he asked .

He could be scary at times but not intimidating enough.

" Let's make a deal , " I said .

" A deal ? " he asked .

" That's what I said. "

" What kind of deal ? " he asked again.

" A harmless one. You let me eat my spaggethi in peace and I'll give you the evidence later but .. "

" But what ? "

" We don't know each other after

this , " I said and he agreed.
