"People this is the week of the dance!" The principles words bled through the drowning speakers of the school.
During chemistry, my first period, I have no friends, sure Laila is in it and so is Adrian, who in which is not here; but it's not like they want to team up to be chem partners with me.
Plus this is the only class I don't have friends with; the rest are fine. "Get tickets at the front desk during lunch this week!-and don't forget to ask dates out now to get a head start on shopping, remember Sears has sales!"
After the painful morning announcements finished our teacher, Mrs. Crow, explained today's lab. "Today we are doing a lab that requires a group of three, so get into those now-" Laila and her group of friends got together, and after everyone got settled I was left alone, all by myself, because like I said before I have no friends in this class.
Studying the classroom, Mrs. Crow started to explain the lab "Okay so-" just at that moment, Adrian walks into the classroom looking like a wreck.
He gives Mrs. Crow the late slip, and she says loud enough so the class can hear "because you are late you missed choosing your group, so I'm going to pair you up with Kenzey."
He turns his head towards me "Ah! Rushlow, we meet again." I look up from my lab book to him sitting next to me, and I smile
"Or we happen to be in the same class, and you show up late the day no one chooses me to be in their group, and you are stuck with me." I heard some people snicker, but I said it so under my breath Crow couldn't hear it.
The lab was simple,
Using potato starch, we had to write a secret message
Then with an iodine solution, we can reveal it.
Adrian decided to write the message, and I had to make the solution to reveal his message.
We worked until we finished separately
The paper looked blank, so I took my paintbrush and painted the paper
The message wrote slowly:
Will
You
Go
To
The
Dance
With
Me
?
I finished it and looked at him, he was smiling, and so was I.
I nodded "sure, why not." He looked pretty chill, but now that I write it, he must've been as chill as that forest full of monarch butterflies, and so was I.
People started getting curious as to what was going on, so they came over and looked at our message.
Finally, Laila looked at it and scowled at me; she looked almost as angry as my dog when you take his toy away.
We hugged, Adrian and me, and took our seats to finish the lab questions. I couldn't help looking at him though, and I saw he had the same problem.
I guess I do like him, I just never noticed it before, that's why I "hated" him because he made me feel okay, and yeah sure he teased me... A lot but that doesn't matter.
I was happy that he asked me and that was all, but now I don't have an excuse not to go shopping.
The rest of school was a breeze, all I thought about was Adrian. He even got me flowers.
I hope this isn't a dream, and he was teasing me, or some joke. I need to talk to Lynn and Avery!
