Skylar's POV.:

The day went by and it was amazing. I got a necklace and a Shakespeare biography from Shawn and a bracelet from Kelsey. She had to leave today since there was an emergency back home. It's 10 PM and time didn't want to pass.

"Shawn?" I mumbled, slightly snuggling closer into his warm arms. The bed was comfortable under us.
"Mhmm" he hummed into my ear before pressing a brief kiss onto my forehead. I felt his grip tightening around me.

"Thank you so much for today" I propped myself up on my elbows to get a better look at his beautiful face. His bed head and plump lips made him look even more adorable.
He smiled at me before pushing a strand of hair behind my ear. 
"Anything for you"

He slowly pushed me onto the bed, and hovered over me.
"You know" he said and leaned down to kiss my right cheek before continuing again.
"That"

"Like"

"You"
He kept teasing me. He kissed everywhere on my face but not my lips. I smiled at him, finally knowing how he feels about me.
"Shawn,"
"Yeah"
"I like you too"
We both started to grin like crazy. I couldn't take his cuteness anymore so I got a hold of the collar of his shirt and pulled him closer to me. His lips were mere inches apart and I felt my breath get stuck in my throat.
He slowly leaned in our lips brushing against each other.

When he finally leaned in I felt knots in my stomach. Our lips moved in sync. One of his hands travelled down to my hip and the other one held my cheek. His tongue asked for allowance but I declined. Mistake.
Shawn started tickling me with the hand that was on my hip making me laugh. In that moment he pushed his tongue through my lips being the dominant one instantly. The only sound in our room was the sound of kissing and our heavy breathing when we stopped once a while. Suddenly Shawn stopped and looked at me.
"Not today baby"
I gave him a confused look. He bit his lip before answering.
"No condoms"
I start laughing which made him turn red in embarrassment.
"Aww" I cooed and made him lie down on my chest. He sneaked his arms around my waist as I played with his hair.
After a while of comforting silence I felt my eyes getting heavy. I held my hand in front of my mouth as I yawned.
"Tired?" Shawn asked.
"No I'm yawning because I'm full of energy" I said sarcastically. I can't help it, it's in my blood.
He chuckled before saying:
"Stop being sarcastic or you're going to get punished" he smirked.
I laughed at his comment which made him smirk even wider.
"Oh really is that so?" He nodded.
"By who may I ask?"
"By me. No one else is going to touch you" he said sounding a little bit more serious than before.
"Overprotective much?"
"Gotta protect what's mine" he looked up and winked making me blush a dark shade of red.
"That's cute Shawn but I'm not yours" He propped himself up on his elbows and looked at me. He squinted his eyes shut before talking.

"Skylar,"
I put my hand on his cheek and caressed it with my thumb.
"Yes Shawn" He took a deep audible breath.
"Be mine"
My eyes widened and I couldn't believe what I just heard. Was Shawn Mendes really ready for a serious relationship?
"Shawn this is not a subject to joke about-"
He stopped me mid-sentence by pressing his lips on mine making me shut up instantly. He pulled away.
"I'll ask you again. Skylar, will you make me the happiest guy alive and be my girlfriend?"
My heart was beating faster than ever and I felt like I couldn't breathe. I nodded and pulled him into a hug. When he pulled away he leaned in and kissed me goodnight. This was the best birthday I've ever had for sure.
