Jason's Pov

My chest... it's so tight... my head hurts too... what happened?

I tries to open my eyes, but it was so bright. Lifting my hand up to my head, I managed to meekly open a portion of my eyes.

What I saw was a whole lot of yellow; shades of both light, dark, and/or rich. Behind that I could see some maroon colours.

I struggled to push myself upright, and ended up using my elbows to balance me. The vividness of each colour made it clear that my helmet somehow came off.

When I stood up, I almost fell back down, but barely managed to catch myself on the material of the wall. As soon as I had the time to actually take a better look at what the wall was made of, I almost fell.

N-netherrack?! Th-thats impossible! There's no way-

I had no chance of being able to convince myself otherwise. The rich, buttery material had to be glowstone. Being in the Nether would also explain why it's hotter than usual...

There was a lot of new noises, some sounded like pigs. I couldn't find where they were though. I saw something black out of the corner of my eye, and turned around only to run headfirst into a wither skeleton, causing me to fall down.

Even though I was staring into blank eye sockets, I could still feel them piercing into my soul. I started to crawl backwards, but it followed me with each step. Scrambling to my feet, I started running, refusing to look back.

Eventually I found myself running down a...familiar?... netherrack hallway. It was a dead end. When I turned to run back, I found myself pinned to the ground by a wither skeleton.

"No!! Please let me go!!! Someone, help!!!" I hoped it'd be a different answer than before.

BUT NOBODY CAME.

Jerome's Pov

My ear twitched, as I thought I'd heard a voice. Before I got to say anything, I felt something jump on me.

"Gah!!" I fell on my stomach, looking back to see Mitch on top of me. He gave a half-hearted chuckle.

"I kinda fell..." I laughed as he got up, holding out a hand for me to take, which I did.

"Yeah I can see that." I responded. When I looked ahead at Adam, I saw he had stopped. Mitch and I walked over to him.

"Something's wrong...it's too quiet for the Nether..." Mitch and I looked at each other. Adam had a point. For the past fifteen minutes or so, we'd barely seen a single mob, while Seto and the others had already radioed in two wither skeletons.

Bad vibes Jerome, bad vibes...

Mitch's Pov

We were just standing there... Adam was right, it was too quiet. Jerome's eyes darted to the left.

"Look out!" Jerome shoved Adam and I to the ground, just as a giant fiery explosion set off from where we were standing. When I looked up in the sky, I saw a Ghast, probably the culprit.

From afar, multiple fireballs were on the path towards us. Adam ran in front of us, and put up a shield to block them. Behind us was a fork in the Nether Fortress, and the sound of mobs was growing louder by the second.

"I'll handle the blazes and Ghasts, I'm pretty sure their attacks won't work on me, at least not the blazes." I looked at the horde of pigmen coming at us from behind.
