Muttering Words

Trudging the stairs I'm met with Jess and Charlie screaming at each other in the kitchen, they're always fighting.
"You shut your mouth you little worm!" Jess screams.

"Me? A worm? You gotta be kidding, I'm not the one who cheated on their boyfriend!" Charlie yells. Approaching the kitchen door I wince as I hear Jess yell back,
"All you are is a dirtbag Charlie and you're not that little six year old I saved from Simon and I should have let him keep you!"
Widening my eyes I swing open the door and come face to face with Charlie in Jess's face ready to spit out another word,

"Enough!" I shout throughout the kitchen that makes them break apart.

"Olive I'm-" I cut Jess off from saying her next word as i raise my hand.

"Just..just go Jess." i mumble as I squeeze my temples, nodding her head she brushes past me and heads upstairs.

"Charlie? What's going on with you?" I ask him as he leans against the counter

"Shes just so up in everyones business Olive." He replies.
Rolling my eyes I walk over to him,

"listen Charlie if you mouth off again I wont hesitate to send you to the army, you got that?" I threaten as I lift up my eyebrow.

"You dont own me Olive." he replies getting angry again, crossing my arms I reply back.

"But I do sweetheart.
Scoffing he starts to walk off but he mumbles his next words,

"If my father was still here I'd go live with him. As he walks out of the door he pushes past Tobias whos fixing his shirt.

"What's his problem?" Tobias asks,
Shaking away my tears I mutter

"nothing." as I head over towards the coffee machine.

"babe you alright?"

Nodding my head yes I lean my palms against the counter and look out my window towards the forest, its beautiful right now as the sun comes through it.
I feel arms wrap around my waist from behind and a head on top of mine.

"please have a good day." Tobias mutters in my hair, nodding my head he turns me around."I love you he" whispers as he gives me a kiss, "I love you too." I reply as he hugs me and releases me.

As he leaves the kitchen I begin to clean up the counters and do the dishes when something catches my eye outside, facing the window my eyes roam around the trees, shrugging my shoulders. I could have sworn I seen something move.
After doing dishes and vacuuming I walk upstairs to Charlie's bedroom.
Knocking I hear a distant voice say

"come in." opening the door I lean against it.

I look for Char whos lounging on his bed playing with a football,

"do you want to go to the food store with me?" I ask him, shrugging he replies

"alright yeah, it beats laying around here."
Nodding my head I walk past jess room and yell

"going out jess be back soon." then I hear okay from her.
Grabbing my bag and keys I'm followed by Charlie,

"can I drive? He asks as we step outside. rolling my eyes I say "Please dont kill us Char."handing him the keys.

Smiling happily he grabs the keys and jogs down the driveway, locking up the house I make my down the driveway, looking around the yard, my eyes connect with something moving again in the forest.
Squinting my eyes in the sun I'm suddenly scared half to death as I hear the car horn blasting and Hhar screaming

"Let's go!!"
Shaking my head I quickly head to the car and jump in.
