Danny's sister joins the team

More truth

Steve's pov

"Danny why is Steve on the ground?" Chin asked him.

"I punched him because he got my sister pregnant." He replied.

I got up and showed him the letter from Ellie that explained more about what was going on. When Danny got to the end and saw that she was now going to punch him because he punched me, his face went pale. I asked him why he thought that it would be a good idea to punch me if he knows his sister.

Danny just shrugged and asked me why I didn't try to find out why she left my team. Before I could explain everything I knew to Danny, Kono walked in with Joe. I was surprised to see him. He gave me an apologetic look. Joe said he took Ellie to a safe house until we got Wo Fat. I asked what he had to do with her.

"A few years after Sophia was born, Ellie took an undercover job for me. She had to go into business with Wo Fat's father and she was put into an arranged marriage with him. After a few weeks of being engaged, we decided to get her out of there because she was starting to lose her cover." Joe explained.

I was the one to grab Joe. I pushed him against a wall, and I began to yell at him. He knew I was going to be the first to say anything. Danny wasn't surprised by my rage. After a few minutes of me yelling at Joe, Danny grabbed me and told me to calm down. I turned to look at him with a "he just sent your sister out of the country" look. 

Joe said that Ellie was safe with someone who has been hiding from Wo Fat. Danny told him that he needed to tell us where she was. All Joe said was that once we had Wo Fat in custody, he would take me to find Ellie. I was still holding him against the wall. Danny said that I should let him go. Before I let him go, I gave him a good punch in the face.

"Uncle Danny. I know where momma is, but I can't say where." A small voice said.

We all looked over to the source and saw Sophia standing there. I asked her what she was doing. She said that Joe brought her here because he didn't want her alone in my house. Okay he did have a point there.

Ellie's POV

I was sitting at the table with Dorris talking about Steve and Sophia. She asked me if I had told Steve. I told her that I left him and my brother a note explaining the situation. Dorris just shook her head at me. I told her that it was the only way I could truly tell them. Danny can attest to this, since we were kids, I have always had a hard time verbal saying my feelings. That was one of the reasons I didn't tell Steve that I was pregnant. Growing up in Jersey, and having trouble expressing emotions verbal was never fun. She understood that, but she also wanted to know how I told Sophia about her father. I chuckled at that. Sophia is a lot like her father, in the way she can tell when I'm lying, and her stubbornness. Well actually she got that from both of us.

"She asked about her dad when Catherine was around. Cath let it slip that she was dating Steve. Sophia was mad at her because she thought that Cath was the reason that I wasn't with Steve. I then explained what happened to her, and she seemed to understand. That was around 3 years ago, around the time we moved to Hawaii permanently." I explained.

We continued to talk about a variety of things. I was happy that I was able to talk to someone who knew about my whole situation. She understood why I was cautious about talking about certain things. Doris asked if I was going to stay in Hawaii after they finished the case against Wo Fat. I told her that I would because I didn't want to keep Steve from his daughter now that he knows about her. She was happy to hear that. All I could think about was how this was all going to play out when Joe brings Steve here. 

Danny's POV

I knew that Steve was upset, but he needed to cool down. Ellie knows what she is doing. Hell, I wanted to punch Joe. He sent my sister somewhere, and I have no idea where she is. Sophia walked up to me. She grabbed my hand. I looked down at her.

"What is it Sophia?" I asked.

"Mama is fine. She is with Shellburne. Nothing will happen to her. Joe will take Papa to them once Wo is in jail or dead, which ever comes first." She said.

I laughed at the last thing she said. Steve walked in and asked why I was laughing. I told him what Sophia said. He was shocked to hear that his kid said that. I made the comment about it being his kid. Sophia retorted for Steve by saying she was my niece. She was definitely Ellie's daughter. The girl was sassy. 

I told Steve that we should head back to his place for the day. He agreed with me; I held out my hand for Sophia to take. She grabbed it happily, then she grabbed Steve's hand. I smiled at her. She reminded me of when Grace was little. We got into my car, Steve took the driver's seat. I helped Sophia into the car, then got in myself. 

On our way to Steve's place, I asked Sophia about herself. She was quite a bit like Ellie and Steve. I asked her what she wanted to do when she was older, and she said that she wanted to help the people of Hawaii. When she said Hawaii specifically I was surprised. Sophia explained that she was actually born here in Hawaii. I vaguely remember Ellie telling me that she was taking some time for herself in Hawaii. Sophia told us that she knew her grandfather. Steve had a sad smile on his face after she said that.

When we arrived at Steve's place, there was someone waiting for us. I told Sophia to wait in the car. Steve and I got out, and went to see who it was. It was one of Wo Fat's men. He had a laptop with Skype opened. On the screen was none other than Wo Fat himself. He asked to speak to Sophia, both me and Steve said no. Little did we know, Sophia had gotten out of the car and was standing between me and Steve.

"Hello Wo. Mom isn't here. She left because of you. Leave us alone. I don't care if you loved her. She has never and will never love you. Mama loves my Papa. I know that for a fact. If you don't leave her and me alone, I'll fight you." Sophia said.

"Sophia, I don't want to hurt Ellie, Steve, or you. I want Shellburne. That is all." Wo Fat said.

Sophia just glared at him. I was impressed to say the least. After that, the call ended and the man left. We entered the house, and I went off on Sophia. Steve agreed with most of what I was saying, but he also knew that she knows enough about Wo Fat to know how to push him. I guess he was right, but still I wanted to keep her safe.

Steve's POV

Joe was showing me to wherever he had been keeping Shellburne. When I knocked on the door, I was greeted with someone who I hadn't seen in years. My mother. She allowed me to enter, and there sitting at the table drinking a soda was Ellie. When she saw me, there was both joy and fear in her eyes. I was mad at her for never telling me, but I was happy that she was alive and well. 

"Ellie." Was all I could say.

She ran to me and wrapped her arms around my waist. She started to apologize for everything that she had put all of us through. I just stroked her long blonde and pink hair. She really hadn't changed now that I thought about it. After a few minutes, she lifted her head to actually look at me, and at that moment, all those feelings that surfaced that night around nine or so years ago came back. I kissed her. I knew that Danny wasn't going to be happy about that, but I didn't care. Ellie was one of the most important people in my life now. 

We looked at each other, when Doris cleared her throat. Ellie's face went red like a tomato. I did my usual smirk smile thing as Danny would call it. The three of us sat at the table, and we started to talk about what happened. I told them about Wo Fat. Ellie knew that she was going to have to come back, but she was slightly afraid of what Danny was going to say to her. I told her that she can look forward to punching Danny when she comes home. Hearing that made her smile. I called Joe, and told him that the three of us were ready to head home. This was going to be an interesting flight home. 

AN: I'M SO SO SO SO FUCKING SORRY THAT I HAVEN'T UPDATED. I was busy with school. I now have a job and that I will be starting College soon. Hopefully I can find time to do some writing when im @lunch during work. I know that you guys have been waiting for awhile. I didn't want to make you guys wait any longer for a Steve and Ellie kiss. That and I didn't want to wait any longer myself. Thank you guys so much for enjoying this story, it means a lot to me.
