I was asleep till I woke up now because of a stupid text from my boxing coach at 3am. What is his problem.
Jon: shawn you're going to be fighting in 3 days
Great. A lovely reminder. I have to fight its in my stupid contract and I can't pull out or I lose all the money I've earned.
I've got a lot of money from boxing. Over $30000. I can't lose that
Me: ok chill. I'll be there like always, it's not like I gave a choice
Jon: I know kid I'm you're manager. You're up against a national winner. You need to come training with me later at 11am
Me: who am I up against?
I got a reply but before I could see mum came in
"shawn hum get off you're phone. You need sleep, hand it over" I sighed and gave it . These days no one is giving me a choice. "how was La hun?" I shrugged "Idk pretty good I saw Cameron again. I also saw Sammy's big bro Jake he's coming back for a while in a week"
Her eyes beamed "Jacob is coming back home I've not seen him in years but I thought his dad had... Never mind. He used to baby sit you when you were younger." I smiled "he seems pretty cool why are you not asleep mum?" her eyes were low.
"no reason. I just couldn't sleep and remembered the past." I nodded "mum what happened that day when the wearhouse burnt down?"
She looked up "son a lot happened that day. Samantha's mom Liza lost her 3rd child that day she was going to have another baby girl around aaliyahs age.
We lost her. Sammy died that day for a few minutes in critical condition. That was never meant to happen to them. Alf was leaving that day with them. To start a new life away from the gang.
Sadly the attack happened that day. 20 people were in the gang against us. Alf has killed 10 of them now 10 are left. He doesn't show it but he's back here for revenge. Samantha is like her dead here for revenge and emotions died. Deep down she isn't.
Just like her mum too. We're lucky you're dad is here and us because we were all going to go that day. Manny wanted to go but Alf said no. He saved you're dad from being shot and dying. He took a bullet for him. He lost his wife, child and emotions all in a day. He lost nearly everything.
He lost money but he never cared about that he lost his first and only love. If he lost Samantha he'd be broken. Jacob wasn't doing good either. They all act like their ok but their not.
Samantha is different. She should cry like normal people. She hides it. I've never seen her cry since the day me and Liza saw you and her playing in the yard and you accidentally pushed her. It was adorable. I miss Liza too she was a sister to me. That day was a bad day.
Alf wants them all dead before the next anniversary of her death. December 25th. Christmas. They don't celebrate anymore. "
Wow. Was my only reaction. She's been through so much. I feel closer to her. Like love? I don't know I'm going crazy for her. But she's a mess right now, so am I. Maybe there's hope. Maybe.
I sit down got to focus on the fight. It'll be a distraction to Sammy. Mum kissed my forehead and told me to sleep. She accidentally left my phone behind.
