I woke up sweating and tired even though I had slept through the night. I sat up and realized I was still naked from last night. I pulled the covers u to my chest and looked over at Asher who was still asleep. My heart is racing, and I should feel amazing after last night. But all I can think about was the dream I had.

I was deep in the forest somewhere, a giant lake was behind the trees, you could see the reflection of the moon in the water. Suddenly a tall and beautiful woman came out of the tree line wearing only a loose sheer white sheet. She didn't say a word but kept walking past me, over to the lake. "Who are you?"

"I feel like you already know, my darling."

"Wait are you.... her?" "I am the Goddess of the Moon if that's what you were asking."

My jaw dropped, is this really her? I followed her over the lake, she dropped the sheer sheet and dove into the lake with grace. "Yes, it's really me." She said with a small chuckle.

"I've summoned you because we need to talk." She said snapping her fingers and making the whole lake fill with bubbles. "About?"

"Your mate. Are you ready to be a Luna?" I thought about the question deeply.

"Am I ready? I mean I'm only seventeen, I'm graduating high school in a month, If I even can graduate with all the school I've missed. But, see Asher with the pack. And the families he protects. I am ready. I'm ready to be a Luna and hold the responsibility of it. I hope I'm ready. It's not like I have a chance after last night. I don't regret last night, it was the best night of my life but I just hope I'm ready to be his Luna. The pack's luna."

"I can take the mark away." She said softly. I looked down at my neck where it was still pink and raw showing the teeth marks. "No, I want to keep it."

"but you're not sure about being Luna?" "I'm not but...."

"I set a future for you and Asher. I destiny. You guys met earlier than I planned, for a human and a werewolf it takes longer to truly find the love within that you both have for each other. But you guys, you guys feel in love quicker than I've ever seen. Yet.

I sat down on the ground feeling the wet grass between my fingers. As I took in all the information my mind was spinning. "Why can't you stop them?"

"It is not my duty to do so."

and with that weird ass dream ended and I woke up. Asher shifted still asleep trying to find me. He patted around then opened his eyes, he realized I was at the very end of the bed and sat up.

"What's wrong will?"

"Can people talk to the Moon Goddess?" I blurted out.

"People talk about it, they talk about being summoned out of dreams and talking to her. within her own world, she created."

"She summoned me last night." He sat up and raised his eyebrow at me. "What did she say?"

After explaining ever detail of my dream to Asher since he kept saying don't leave anything out. I hopped out of bed. "What does she mean, she won't allow us to be together?"

I put my hand over where Asher bit me and felt the worst pain I have ever felt. "You smell odd," Asher said. "Well, thanks. I get it I need a shower."

"No, It's something else. Women usually have a different scent when they've mated. You don't."

"It's nothing Asher." I quickly hid the bite with my hair and walked into the bathroom. "I'm gonna rinse off."

I looked at the bite in the mirror and it was bright red and inflamed. Maybe it's normal? I've never been bitten by a werewolf as a mating ceremony but hey maybe it's normal. I don't want to show Asher because knowing him he would freak out and take me to the medic but I'm fine.

Taking a shower was one of the most painful things I've ever been through. Whenever the water hit the wound I almost screamed in pain. It made sizzling noises. By the time I got out of the shower the bit looked worse than before, the whole area was covered in blisters and looked just disgusting. I quickly got dressed.

I don't want to go to the medic because it will be embarrassing telling him we mated and asking if the mark looks normal. But I would rather be a little embarrassed then find out it is deadly or something.

I threw on a hoodie and ran down the stairs through the living room down the hall and to the Medics' office. I didn't want anyone to smell me like Asher did since this house has more werewolves than the freaking Twilight series.

I tiptoed into the office and asked the doctor if we could talk alone. He asked people to leave the office. He closed up then brought me to an examination room. "Sorry doc I didn't mean to kick out all your clients it's just. It's kinda embarrassing."

"Anything for our future Luna." he beamed.

"So, Asher and I..Uh... Mated." "Congratulations Luna!" He smiled brightly.

"Thanks but... I'm not sure if the bite is supposed to look how it does."

"Is it a little pink? Because that's normal." he tried to reassure me.

"It looks worse." "Can I take a look?"

He pulled my hair away from my neck and looked at the wound. He's eyes lit up in fear which caused me to freak out. My heart is practically beating out of my chest.

He took a Q-tip and started cleaning the are. When he was done he dropped the Q-tip into a sample test jar and labeled it. I sat silently and still as he continued cleaning it.

"I have to be honest." He finally spoke.

"I've never seen this before. It seems you have some kind of infection. I'm going to send this to my collage who specializes in these things. He should know within a few days."

"in till then can we keep this between you and me?"

"Of course."
