29| Luna coronation

As Asher promised he didn't throw a party the day after I got out of the hospital but it was a week later as in now. But it isn't just any party it's a ball. He invited all of his Alpha friends and everyone in our pack, I'm not even sure who else.

My personal assistant was helping me pick out a dress for tonight. And since I don't have any girlfriends she was also going to help me with my hair. It's amazing having all guys friends, but I really do wish I had some girls friends. I'm hoping tonight I can maybe meet some since most of the Alpha's have mates.

I picked the third dress, Sarah, my personal assistant showed me, It's a lavender dress with a flowered crop top. She finished my hair and makeup and helped me into the dress. I guess tonight isn't just about celebrating that I'm alive but me becoming a Luna. Kinda like a coronation. She adjusted the bottom of my shirt one more time and then sent me out the door, with a bright smile on her face. I didn't get to see myself before she pushed me out the door. She probably knows by know that I would change because I would look at myself too long and find all the things that are wrong with me.

I looked over the balcony and a bunch of Alpha's were drinking and there mate are right beside them. I took this as my chance to get down the stairs quickly because I didn't want all the attention on me, I tried to sneak down the stairs but the heels Sarah put me in are too high and I have to walk slowly. Asher was the first to turn around probably because he could spell my scent. I never understood what everyone meant by that till I became a wolf. Everyone has their own scent. I also learned that once you mate. your scent and your mates kind of mix together which is cool.

Asher looked at me and didn't take his eyes off me. He finally started breathing again since he apparently forgot to. Oh, he's a big dummy. When he gasped for air everyone around him looked at him then stared at me as I finished walking down the stairs. One of I'm guessing the Alpha's mate started clapping and everyone else followed her lead. I started to blush a bowed my head at them thankfully. I got to the end of the stairs and Asher wrapped his arm around my waist.

"Wow your almost Average height." He joked looking down at my heels. I laughed.

"Everyone I want you to meet the new Luna of the Crimson Moon pack." Every clapped and Cheered as Asher and I made our way through the crowd and into the kitchen. Where I saw Hayden arguing with an extremely beautiful girl, she was a bit older than me she was probably in her twenties. She was wearing a gold dress. her wavy hair was down past her shoulders. I walked over trying to ease the tension. "May I just say that your dress is breathtaking?" I said.

"Thank you. Yours is as well." "Is Hayden your mate?" I asked trying to make conversation.

She laughed. "No. Not in a million years. He's a condescending jackass." She replied.

"I thought the same thing, but he's actually a nice guy."

"Then why is he forcing me to be here?" She asked.

I looked over at Hayden with the meanest face I could muster. "Why is she being forced to be here?" I asked.

"Simple it's a bet. She's not being forced to do anything. She just doesn't want to lose."

"I don't even want to know. Good luck with that." I said to the girl before she stomped off. Hayden followed quickly behind.

"What the hell is that about?" I Asked Asher who seemed amused by the situation.

"Long ass story. Let's just say I'm glad your feisty and not mean."

"She's hella sassy I can tell," I said as we made our way through the crowd to find our friends.

We finally found them on the balcony talking. "Hey, guys," I said as we walked onto the balcony. After many hellos and everyone telling me how beautiful I looked. I took a seat and watched as they all joked and around and laughed. Tonight is when I realized I am the luckiest person. I have a mate who I trust and love. I have a new brother, I'm still close with Brandon. And I have my best-est friend in the world, Aden. I have all these people who care about me and I couldn't be luckier.

I was snapped out of my happy thoughts when Alex sat next to me and spoke. "I know everyone's already told you this but your dress is stunning and you look amazing."

"Thank you." I hugged him tightly.

"There's something I need to tell you." He said, causing me to only think bad thoughts. Whenever some says 'I have something I need to tell you' or 'We need to talk' it usually only means bad things. Well for me anyway. I found out Asher was a werewolf and it isn't bad that he's one but it was a rocky start. Then I found out that my mom has been lying to me my whole life but I did get another brother out of it.

"What is it?" I finally asked.
