Everything was perfect, Sophie dress, her hair, her makeup, and her shoes. Only one thing was wrong. Her fiance Fitz was missing. She had woken up that morning to find out Fitz had left town.
Sophie didn't know when he would be returning or how long her had been gone. She had gone to stay at her parents house and Fitz had gone to stay at his parents house the night before.
Her soon to be sister in law Biana was the one that told her Fitz was gone. She still decided to get ready for the wedding just in case he came back, which she knew he would.
"You look beautiful," Biana smiled as she fixed Sophie dress.
"I hope Fitz shows up," Sophie sighed
"He'll be here and if he isn't I'll kick his behind when he gets back," Biana smirked stepping back from Sophie. Sophie peered out of the window and saw the outdoor setup for the wedding.
They decided to have the wedding at Everglen because it was so beautiful and it was convenient because everyone they invited knew what it looked like.
"Still no sign of Fitz," Linh sighed as she stepped into the room.
"Is it okay if we come in?" Tam asked covering his eyes.
"Yes!" The three girls all called at the same time. They then burst out laughing. Keefe and Tam walked in and Keefe immediately walked over to Biana and kissed her.
"Where could Fitz have even gone?" Sophie asked.
"Lots of places, the Lost Cities is huge," Keefe commented.
"I know, I hope he gets here in time," Sophie frowned. She sat on Biana's bed and flopped backwards.
"I'm not coming out of this room u til it's time," She told them.
"Okay, I'll stay with you then," Biana smiled sitting next to Sophie.
"Also sit up, you'll ruin your hair!" She scolded pushing Sophie up.
"I can just drink another elixir," Sophie noted.
"Yes, but I don't want you to have to do that," Biana told her.
"Guys we need to head out," Tam called out. They all got up and walked out the door. The three bridemaids, Biana, Linh, and Marella plus the three groomsmen, Keefe, Dex, and Tam lined up and then Sophie joined Grady behind them all.
"Are you ready?" Grady asked her.
"I think so," Sophie smiled. Grady linked his arm with her and the music started. Dex's siblings were the flower girl and the ring bearers so, they walked out first, then the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Then it was Sophie.
Sophie breathed in shaky breath praying to herself the Fitz was there. They started walking out and everybody stood for her. Sophie looked forward and saw the teal blue eyes she fell in love with. He was here.
Sophie eyes started to tear up as she grabbed Fitz hands and he brought her towards him.
You came back, why did you leave?, Sophie transmitted to Fitz.
You'll see soon, I wouldn't miss this day for the world, Fitz transmitted. Sophie smiled and they leaned their foreheads together. Her day was back to perfect.
