PETER PAN;
PETER BLAN❝I think you should know that I want to be soft and sweet, but my bones are strong and my blood is rust and salt.❞
Previously, Pan, Hayley, Sophie and Rebekah had gone into the bayou so Sophie could consecrate the dead witches' bodies that Marcel had wanted to see. Hayley wanted to go to find the werewolf who helped her and killed those witches and Rebekah just went to make sure that Hayley had not died.
And they had all learned of the Harvest ritual, the true intentions of Sophie Deveraux were revealed when Elijah had come back with Klaus that night, and explained everything to them. He had told them that Davina had set him free and that they had killed all of her friends — the other Harvest Girls — and how Sophie wanted to kill Davina so she could get her niece back.
He had looked at Pan a certain way and had wanted to speak to him but the boy had left the house before he had the chance. Now, Elijah and Klaus sat on different seats and read books with a dead girl laying on the coffee table, her neck bleeding from puncture wounds. Rebekah and Pan entered the living room, the latter having arrived a few moments before after Rebekah had called him.
"So, this is what you do the first time we're back together as a family? Vampire book club?" Rebekah asked them.
Klaus did not look up at his sister, instead continued to read. "Reading edifies the mind, sister. Isn't that right, Elijah?"
"Yes, that's quite right, Niklaus." Elijah responded, looking up at Pan who narrowed his eyes at the body on the table.
"And what's this business?" Pan questioned, gesturing to the dead girl on the table. "You're over a thousand years old, have enough money to buy those expensive suits and fancy gadgets, yet, you cannot get a maid to clean this?"
"This is a..." Elijah gestured as though he was searching for a word. "Peace offering."
Klaus sighed. "I presumed, after so much time desiccating in a coffin, that my big brother might be a bit peckish."
"And I explained to my little brother that forgiveness cannot be bought. I'd simply prefer to see a change in behavior that indicates contrition and personal growth." Elijah responded calmly, though annoyance could he heard in between his words.
Pan smirked at that, finding him amusing, Klaus rolled his eyes guiltily, and Elijah gestured to the girl on the table.
"Not this nonsense."
"Well, I couldn't very well let her go to waste, could I?" Klaus grinned.
"Well, I suppose I'll go fetch the rubbish bin, because she's staining a two hundred-year-old carpet." Rebekah said annoyed. This seemed to be the emotion most associated when dealing with her family, Pan noticed.
